Luoyue ancient country (Luoyue) was founded in Lingnan by ancestors of Zhuang and Dong languages in the pre-Qin period. Luoyue people are the ancestors of today's Zhuang, Dong, Li, Maonan, Mulao and Shui nationalities.
The ancient country of Luoyue (Zhuang language: Luegvet) recognized by academic circles starts from Hongshui River Basin in Guangxi in the north, reaches the southeast of Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau in the west, reaches Leizhou in the southwest of Guangdong Province in the east, and reaches Hainan Island and Red River Basin in Vietnam in the south. The source and center of Luoyue culture is in China, and the main part is also in China. This center and the earliest national capital are located at the southern foot of Daming Mountain in Wuming.
