When did chapters and sentences become popular?
Zhang Ju is mainly an analysis of the scriptures, which was popular in the Western Han Dynasty and used by Confucian classics. The ancient books in the pre-Qin period are all directly described, with no chapters or sentences. Later, Confucian scholars wrote chapters and sentences, and their understanding of the content was also shown in the chapters and sentences. The Han people's "chapters and sentences" have been preserved to this day, including Zhao Qi's "Mencius chapters and sentences", from which we can see the characteristics of chapters and sentences. This writing method has also been used by later generations, such as the Great Learning and the Doctrine of the Mean written by Zhu in the Southern Song Dynasty. In the Qing Dynasty, there were Jiao Xun's Book of Changes and Ren Qili's Book of Rites.
