The new curriculum standards place different requirements on the writing of students of different grades. First grade students are required to develop correct writing postures and good writing habits, and their writing should be standardized, upright, and neat. This requires teachers to pay attention to writing teaching, which is conducive to improving students' writing level.
In the usual teaching process, I summarize the following practices:
1. Play the role of role model. Teachers lead by example, which is a silent command for students. For lower grade students, they are young and good at imitating, so when writing on the blackboard in class and commenting on homework, I pay attention to the writing posture, work hard to write the structure of the words, and show the students correct words one by one.
2. Interest is the best teacher. Children in lower grades are active by nature and their attention is easily distracted. How can we help them persist in writing well and develop good writing habits? I mostly use motivational methods: telling students vivid and interesting stories to motivate them; using the method of publishing letters to reward students who write neatly. I also often tell children stories about ancient people who diligently learned Chinese characters, such as the stories of the great calligraphers Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi, to stimulate their interest. In addition, I often hold some small-scale writing competitions to mobilize their enthusiasm for writing and at the same time cultivate their sense of competition.
3. Correct writing methods and techniques are the top priority. Because practicing basic strokes well is the basis for writing every character. Every stroke must have a starting point, a moving point, and a finishing point. Although the structure of Chinese characters is ever-changing, there are still rules to follow. When I teach my children to write, I first observe the structure of the words, then think about where to start, how to move and finish the pen, and finally start writing seriously.
4. Combine strict requirements with teaching students in accordance with their aptitude. It is not easy for students to develop good writing habits. It is a long-term and continuous accumulation process. We must have strict requirements on students from an early age, so that they can be consistent inside and outside the classroom; they can practice calligraphy as soon as they pick up the pen. Of course, this requires the active cooperation of parents and teachers. For children with poor self-control, teachers and parents must intensify their supervision.
Use a variety of methods to stimulate students' interest in writing and enable students to write well.
