In order to perfect the novel, Jin Yong made many changes to the work, making it coherent and responsive to each other, and "fixed" many loopholes. But Jin Yong is not a god after all, so it is inevitable that there will be some omissions, and it is impossible to cover everything. In the earlier versions, Jin Yong also fixed the loopholes that seriously violated logic, such as the "Tiyun Zong" where one steps on the instep of the right foot with the left foot and rises up from the ground (according to this logic, a person who uses the Tiyun Zong can rise infinitely).
But there are some places that Mr. Jin did not change. For example, in "The Legend of the Condor Heroes", he once described a scene of a fight between Zhu Ziliu and Huo Dou, in which Zhu Ziliu integrated martial arts into Yiyang Finger. Among them, Huang Rong, who was watching the battle on the sidelines, praised him greatly.
But on the other hand, in "The Swordsman", Jin Yong used Ren Woxing to complain about Bald Pen Weng's calligraphy combined with martial arts. These two views are completely contradictory in themselves, but he has not changed them in many subsequent revisions. Was he negligent or did he do it deliberately?
Let’s first take a look at the description of the battle between Zhu Ziliu and Huo Du in the original text:
But seeing the opponent’s brush shaking, there are acupuncture points in the calligraphy, and there are calligraphy in the acupuncture points. It's really a silver hook and an iron hook, sharp and sharp. And there is an elegant and bookish atmosphere in the majesty. Guo Jing didn't understand literature, so he was secretly amazed by what he saw. Huang Rong, however, was inherited from her father's family and was good at both civil and martial arts. When she saw Zhu Ziliu's wonderful martial arts, she couldn't help but admire him greatly.
Huang Rong watched with rapt attention and admired it greatly. She also used her magical power to throw three glasses of wine to Zhu Ziliu to cheer him up. From all appearances, Huang Rong greatly admired Zhu Ziliu's "Yang Zhi Shu" martial arts.
But in "The Swordsman", Ren Woxing, a martial arts master, contradicts this. Is it a contradiction in Jin Yong’s own views?
Let’s see how Ren Woxing complained about the bald pen man:
The man said: “The bald old man is good at using the judge’s pen. His handwriting is like that of a three-year-old child. , tend to be arty, and the martial arts actually claim to contain the brushwork of famous calligraphers. Hehe, children, you must know that fighting against the enemy is a matter of life and death. If you fight with all your strength, you are still afraid of being defeated. How can you have leisure and care? What is the Zhong Wang tablet? Unless the opponent's martial arts are too different from yours, you can play with him. But if the martial arts of both parties are similar, you will be dedicating your life and hands to the enemy. "
The view of letting me go seems to be closer to the practical truth. Others are killing you with their moves, but you are writing leisurely there. If the difference in martial arts is not huge, then it is really a bit too much. Zhu Ziliu and Bald Biweng are fans of the authorities, while Huang Rong and Ren Woxing, who are watching, support each other and complain about each other. Are they contradictory to each other?
Jin Yong did not revise these two paragraphs of views many times. It can be said that Jin Yong himself did not think that these two paragraphs were contradictory to each other. So, if we look at it from Jin Yong's perspective, we can actually understand that although Huang Rong and Ren Woxing have different views, it can actually be said that their different martial arts views are caused by their different martial arts cultivation.
Of course, one of these two people has a higher level of martial arts cultivation, and his view is relatively correct; while the other’s view can be understood as being insufficient in martial arts cultivation and unable to see such a situation. Far.
So, which one of the two has higher martial arts skills, who has the correct view?
Ren Woxing is the leader of the Sun-Moon God Sect, and he can be regarded as a man of great talent, and his martial arts prowess ranks among the top five in the book. But based on everything in Jin Yong's book, I think that although Huang Rong's martial arts is not necessarily higher than Ren Wo Xing, her martial arts cultivation and martial arts knowledge are higher than Ren Wo Xing.
High martial arts does not necessarily mean high martial arts cultivation. This is not a contradiction.
First of all, the "Nine Yin Manual" practiced by Huang Rong is itself a rare book in the martial arts world. The martial arts recorded in it are complicated, and it also has a powerful general chapter on the internal strength of the Nine Yin. Moreover, Huang Rong's own martial arts skills in Peach Blossom Island are not weak, and she has extensive knowledge. In addition, her IQ can be regarded as the best in Jin Yong's book. Taken together, these are Huang Rong's own advantages in martial arts cultivation.
Not only that, there is a description in another novel by Jin Yong that actually fully supports the idea that calligraphy combined with martial arts is feasible.
In "Yitian Sword and Dragon Slaying", Yu Daiyan was eventually broken due to the Dragon Slaying Knife incident. Zhang Sanfeng was worried about Yu Daiyan's injury, so he thought hard all night long, and finally created a "Yitian Sword". "Dragon Slaying Technique" came:
I saw Zhang Sanfeng walking for a while, looking up at the court, and suddenly stretched out his right hand and started writing words in the air one by one. Zhang Sanfeng was both civil and military, reciting poems and writing, and his disciple We were used to it and didn't think it was strange. Zhang Cuishan followed the strokes of his fingers and found that what he wrote was the word "sangluan". He wrote it several times, followed by the word "tea poison". Zhang Cuishan's heart moved: "Master came to the 'Mourning Post' in the sky.
I saw him writing it over and over again. The twenty-four words were written over and over again. The strokes were getting longer and longer, but the gestures were Slower and slower, until it opens and closes vertically and horizontally, just like using fists and kicks. Zhang Cuishan watched intently, feeling surprised and happy. The twenty-four words written by the master were clearly a combination of extremely high-level martial arts. The "Yitian Slaying Dragon Technique" created by Zhang Sanfeng was derived from "Sangluantie", but it was not simply copied, but "the strokes became more and more varied." The longer it is" and "opening and closing vertically and horizontally". It can be seen that when calligraphy is integrated into martial arts, the focus is changing. If calligraphy remains unchanged and you just copy other people's handwriting, the combination of calligraphy and martial arts will fail.
But Zhu Ziliu's "Yiyang Points Calligraphy" "seems like writing, but the strokes are pointing to the big acupuncture points of the human body." Zhu Ziliu learned and used calligraphy flexibly. Although he was a calligrapher, he still did not forget to touch the acupuncture points to hurt people. Weng, holding a pen with indelible ink, fought with people and just wrote, thinking that the ink would not be wiped off the people's bodies, but he did not think about hurting them by punching acupoints.
