Simplified Chinese characters, Putonghua and RMB are the three commonly used measuring tools in modern society, and regular script and official script have been the five commonly used fonts since ancient times, but only regular script and running script are commonly used in modern times, so it is a wrong concept to ignore the differences between ancient and modern times and the differences between objective reality and forcibly confuse the artistic and cultural heritage essence of calligraphy with the general efficiency essence of modern writing! It must be wrong in academic logic. Only talking about aesthetics can't equate these differences. Academic logic is about practical basis and application. It is far-fetched to talk about aesthetics without these foundations. Therefore, the concepts of calligraphy and writing must be clearly distinguished. Because the difference is too big!
In other words: 90% of the people in China are actually engaged in writing, a modern universal behavior, rather than the creation of ancient calligraphy. People spend 90% of their life writing, not writing calligraphy. Can you say that the vast majority of the population are illiterate and don't know what they are doing? Writing can also be divided into professional and amateur. How can it be called calligraphy to imitate and write a bunch of brush characters casually? Aren't all calligraphers in ancient times? The crux of the problem is that many practitioners also have great misunderstandings about the word calligraphy. This point has been expounded in many articles on my personal homepage, but it is not consistent with the mainstream consciousness in the calligraphy and writing circles today, so many people do not agree with my personal point of view. This is normal.
In other words: people can practice calligraphy all their lives, or they can practice calligraphy all their lives, but if you don't practice calligraphy, the quality will be like that until you die. All the study, work and life in your life will be laughed at by others. If you don't practice writing, people will laugh at you. That's because some people are really amateurs, don't pretend to understand, and don't know what calligraphy is!
Here, I'll tell you a simple method, and tell you if there are any reliable methods to practice Chinese characters. Come up with a modern simplified Chinese character at will. These people can't really judge the quality of a word in two seconds (they must have standards and be able to distinguish it). Basically, they pretend to be "calligraphy aesthetics" with their own "personal aesthetics" to guide others. No matter whether these people describe the aesthetics of any writing as a flower or a piece of slag, in fact, their awareness of the writing quality system is almost zero, which means that the logic of writing practice is very unreliable!
Note: quality does not mean that words should be written in a way that looks good in structure. You must have a reliable basis to make it clear through academic logic. Many people who use aesthetics to guide others to practice calligraphy simply move out of the structure of ancient calligraphy to talk about strokes. It is a simple fact that ancient calligraphy running script is different from modern writing running script (such as China running script). Let's take a closer look at the structural differences between them! Don't use your own aesthetic theory to fool others and ignore the objective reality. The "aesthetic advanced" without modern writing quality system is pseudo-advanced!
Furthermore, what is calligraphy? What is the significance of artistic creation? Art comes from life and is higher than life, but many people don't know what artistic creation is and regard calligraphy as a writing skill. In this way, it seems neither fish nor fowl. It is said that writing has no quality system, but calligraphy has not been recognized by professional institutions at all, which means that many works in calligraphy are incomprehensible to ordinary people! If you don't write Ou Kai vertically from right to left, it's called calligraphy!
This is a new phenomenon of real magic. At present, many people who have passed the hard-pen calligraphy exam eventually confuse calligraphy with writing, reduce the art of calligraphy to random writing, and mislead others into opportunism in order to seek their own self-interest. This is a very wrong academic logic. It is also a speculative modern business behavior.
If calligraphy equals writing, how can traditional Chinese characters equal simplified Chinese characters? How can things of modern system be confused with those of ancient times? Just like how the modern furniture system is mixed with the ancient tenon-mortise structure system. In modern systems, computer fonts are unique and did not exist in ancient times. So is the concept of hard pen. You can't say what they have. There are networks in modern times, and flying pigeons pass books in ancient times! It's all information network transmission, isn't it all the same? And ancient times are more advanced! This logical explanation is far-fetched! What about reinforced concrete? Radio? Electricity? Computer? Have ancient peers? How did modern civilization develop? Completely retro? It's impossible!
