The Influence of Taoist Calligraphy on Traditional Culture

There are three traditional cultures in China: Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. Among them, Confucianism and Taoism, as the most profound origins of local culture, have had a far-reaching impact on the development of art. As far as calligraphy is concerned, literati and officialdom have always judged, studied and created calligraphy art along the Confucian golden mean. I also deeply love the influence of Buddhism and Confucian classics. A large number of Buddhist scriptures are copied, statues and stone carvings, and the art of calligraphy is full of empty ideas. The seclusion thought of Taoism gives people a feeling of floating clouds and wild cranes in calligraphy. Some people praised Wang Xizhi's words as a cloud crane, whether it was the result of the influence of Wei and Jin literati on the trend culture of Huang Lao's art. Wang Xizhi is undoubtedly a Taoist fan, not a real monk, but his application of Taoist thought is actually an advanced artistic consciousness. Wang Xizhi's publicity was based on "harmony and fairness", which strengthened the handling of contradictions and made bold changes.
