Xu Zhan's introduction

Xu Zhanzi Chenghua, 1945 was born in Beijing in May. Graduated from Capital Normal University, specializing in freehand flower-and-bird painting and calligraphy. He studied under Li Kuchan, Guo Weiqu and Ouyang Zhongshi, and has profound attainments in China's freehand flower-and-bird painting, calligraphy, poetry and aesthetic theory. His paintings and calligraphy works are rich in themes, diverse in forms, fresh in style, appealing to both refined and popular tastes, rich in pen and ink, poetic and elegant in style. His works not only have profound traditional skill and realistic kung fu, but also have a unique personal style and life background, and have a strong flavor of the times, which has aroused widespread concern in today's China painting circles.
