On the first day, I suggest you take the train the night before and arrive the next morning, so as not to waste time. And it’s best to book a room online to save money in case you can’t find a room. Regarding where to live, I recommend staying in the city center, near the Bell and Drum Towers or the Forest of Steles, which is convenient for fun and transportation. If you want to find something cheaper, you can stay in an express hotel. I stayed there for 7 days near Beilin. It cost 90 yuan a night and had a double bed for two people haha~~~
First day
I suggest walking around the city first and resting early. After settling down in your accommodation in the morning, go to the Shaanxi History Museum first. Take bus 5 or bus 30, which costs one yuan, and get off at Cuihua Road. There is no need to spend money, just go and get the tickets with your ID card. The collection there is very rich and worth a visit. There are many people inside, so we can just follow a tour guide group and listen to the explanation. A morning tour is enough. If you want to have something to eat nearby at noon, go to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. It’s quite close.
Continue to take bus 5 or 30 and get under the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. The Big Wild Goose Pagoda might not be a good tour without a tour guide, but we don’t have much money and don’t want to hire a tour guide. We can just follow a group. The ticket is 15 yuan. If you want to climb the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, it is 10 yuan. I don’t think it matters. It depends on whether you are interested or not. Then take bus 26 to the Bell Tower, it costs one yuan. The student joint ticket for the Bell and Drum Tower is 30 yuan. The Bell and Drum Tower is like worthless and has no actual viewing value. However, it is regarded as a popular attraction in Xi'an. It depends on you. I personally recommend that you just look at it from a distance. There is a place selling small milk cakes on the first floor of Kaiyuan Mall near the Drum Tower. They are delicious, but they seem to be sold in the underground passage of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Then there is Muslim Street behind the Bell and Drum Tower, which is Xi'an's night market. You can go in and experience it, but it is recommended not to buy anything. I once talked with a local, and he said that Muslim Street is actually for coaxing foreigners. If you really want to taste the food in Xi'an, go to the streets and alleys to eat in places where many locals go. Then go back to the hotel, wash up and sleep.
The next day
Get up early in the morning and go to the train station to take 914, 915 or Tour 5 to see the Terracotta Warriors and Horses. The round trip fare is 30 yuan, first go to the Terracotta Warriors and Horses, 90 yuan, and the student ticket is 45 yuan. You must hire a tour guide, which cannot be saved. The tour guide fee is 25 yuan. Huaqing Pool is not interesting at all. Don’t go there. You can take the Lishan cable car for a bird’s eye view. It costs 25 yuan. Tickets for Lishan are 45 yuan. Student tickets are 22.5 yuan. You can watch Jiang Ting. Forget the rest, modern man-made ones. You can take the car back at two or three o'clock. After getting off at the train station, take bus No. 14 at Wenchang Gate to the Forest of Steles. It costs 45 yuan, or 22 yuan for students. It will probably be out in less than an hour. After that, you can go to the city wall and walk up to the city wall after coming out of the Forest of Steles. The ticket price is 40 yuan, the student price is 20 yuan, and it closes at 9:30 pm. Riding a bicycle on the city wall is very emotional. It costs 20 yuan for a single bicycle and 40 yuan for a double bicycle for 100 minutes, but it is really tiring. You have to go around in a circle to return the car and it's easy to miss the scenery. It is recommended to just take a walk. But if you want to have some fun, riding is fine. Then go back to the hotel, wash up and sleep. If you are energetic, you can go to Big Wild Goose Pagoda Square to see the musical fountain.
The third day
It’s better to go to Huashan than to Xi’an. I think it’s pretty good. You must get up early, preferably go to the train station at six o'clock. There is a direct high-speed bus to Huashan. The round trip is fifty, and there are ten buses that you can get on and off freely. They are valid for three days. The entrance fee to Huashan is 120 yuan, 60 yuan for students. Remember to buy water, food, maps and gloves at the foot of the mountain. The weather is very cold in January, so wear more clothes in the mountains. I think you are not pressed for time. It is best to stay one night on the mountain. You can climb to the East Peak in one day. It is recommended to stay at the Dongfeng Hotel on the East Peak. Remember to make a reservation in advance. The next morning you can watch the sunrise at Dongfeng.
Day 4
The uphill route can be up the mountain from Yuquanyuan, and then on the second day you can climb the South Peak and West Peak and walk down the mountain, or you can climb to the North Peak and take the cable car for 60 yuan. , your choice. After getting off the cable car, you have to take a 10 yuan car out of the mountain. You must take a car because it is more than 7 kilometers, which is more than climbing. Then take a taxi to where you take the bus. It costs 10 yuan per car and can accommodate up to four people. It is best to carpool with others.
Then take the bus back to the hotel. You must be crazy tired. It's already after noon, so I suggest you don't go too far and just take a walk in the city. Remember to wash up before going to bed at night, and eat some isatis root before going to bed.
Day Five
If you have time and are interested in seeing the tombs, you can go to the Western Front. Tourism on the Western Line is extremely underdeveloped. It is difficult to go there on your own because there are no direct buses between various attractions, which is very troublesome. It is best to find a tour bus for a one-day tour of the Western Line at the train station. I went to the Western Front by myself and almost couldn't get on the bus back. There were no living people living there, only graves, which shocked me. The one-day tour fare is 30 yuan, and the tickets for attractions are paid by yourself. I only went to the Maoling Museum and the Tomb of Prince Yide, and spent 55 yuan, which I felt was not worth it. (We rented a car from a local farmer and asked him to take us from the tomb of Prince Yide to Maoling. It turned out that he didn’t know the road and had to go around for two and a half hours. I paid 100 yuan. So I don’t recommend going by yourself. Western Route Tour)
Going to the Western Route with a tour group will cost about 120 per person. It will be cheaper if you have a student ID card, and the tour guide will explain the whole journey. Attractions include: Xianyang Museum, Loess Folk Village, Qianling Mausoleum, Tomb of Prince Yide, Famen Temple, Treasure Museum. Then we returned to the city around five o'clock in the afternoon. You can wander around the city. There are many entertainment venues in the center of Xi'an. There are many movie theaters and game arcades on the roadside. In addition, walking down the Drum Tower there is an ancient culture street where you can take a stroll. It's within walking distance. If you can't find it, just ask pedestrians. The people in Xi'an are very welcoming.
Day 6
Let’s do something relaxing~~ Have breakfast in a hotel or street food first, and then go to East Street. There are many brand stores on East Street, so take a good look around. At noon, you can go to Fule Restaurant on the top floor of Xingzhengyuan Shopping Mall next to Luoma Market. Walk along Dongda Street and stop for a bite to eat. You may have been exhausted the past few days, so just relax and go at a slower pace today. In the afternoon, I will go shopping casually. There are some very good shops on the way from Beilin to Big Wild Goose Pagoda. The styles of clothes and trinkets are good, so you can go shopping. If you didn’t have time to go to Big Wild Goose Pagoda Square to see the night musical fountain a few days ago, you can go today. It’s worth a visit. If you have been there, you can take bus No. 14 out of the south gate, walk to Xiangzi Gate, and walk along the left side of the road to see Defu Lane Bar Street. Drinking under the lights of the bar street at night is very bourgeois, and listening to the bar singers playing the piano and singing is very bluesy. The day is over again.
On the seventh day
You can go to the Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor. Better to go early in the morning. After coming back, we continued to the city. It was actually afternoon. We went to the Tang Furong Garden to see the night view. I felt it would be very beautiful around the Chinese New Year. The Tang Furong Garden at night will definitely make you linger. It would be nice to have a barbecue in the evening.
Day 8 - Day 11
Go to Yan'an, the time includes the time on the way back and forth. It is recommended to take the train, preferably T43/T46, which leaves at 8:57 in the morning and arrives at 1:30 in the afternoon. The fare is about 50 yuan. Before going to Yan'an, find a place to stay. It's best to be close to the train station so that it's convenient to take the bus, but you must stay in a regular hotel. The scenery of Yan'an also includes cave dwellings on high loess slopes, Chairman Mao's former residence, Hukou Waterfall, Zaozhuang, etc. Stay three nights and have a blast. It is best to join a local tour group, which will save you a lot of trouble and is safe. On the morning of the eleventh day, we took the bus back to Xi’an and had a good rest. Remember, with Banlangen, people are most likely to get sick when they are particularly tired.
Day 12
You can go to Banpo to have a look, but I don’t think it’s interesting. It depends on you. I can’t remember the ticket price clearly, it seems to be fifty, and there is a direct bus to the venue. When you come back in the afternoon, you can wander around and sell some souvenirs you want to take away. In fact, I personally think there is nothing to bring~~~~~~~~Hehe
Thirteenth day
Pack your bags and prepare to go home. I believe you are already half familiar with Xi'an at this time, so just find some places you like to visit.
The most important thing is to remember to buy your return train ticket in advance! ! ! ! !
Note: Be sure to watch your wallet when squeezing in crowded places such as train stations. This is a lesson I learned hard! ! ! ! ! Be sure to watch out for thieves! ! ! ! ! ! !
Pay attention to safety and have a pleasant journey!
ps: It’s really not easy for me to type so many words at once~~~~~~I hope I can help you~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
