In fact, they hoped that only one of the three evils would be left. Zhou Chu immediately killed the white-fronted tiger and then went down to the river to kill the dragon. The dragon sometimes floated and sometimes sank in the water. Zhou Chu and the dragon floated and sank for dozens of miles together. After three days and three nights, the local people thought Zhou Chu was dead and celebrated each other. Zhou Chu finally killed the dragon and went ashore. He heard that the villagers thought he was dead and celebrated it, and then he realized that everyone actually regarded him as a big disaster, so he had the intention to repent. So he went to Wujun to find Lu Ji and Lu Yun. Lu Ji was not there at the time and only saw Lu Yun. He told Lu Yun the whole situation and said that he wanted to correct his mistakes and improve his cultivation. But I worry that I am too old and will not achieve anything in the end. Lu Yun said: "The ancients valued morality and thought, 'Even if you understand the way of the sages in the morning, you will be willing to die at night.' Besides, your future is still promising. And people are afraid of not being able to set aspirations. As long as you can make aspirations, why bother? Are you worried that your good reputation will not be revealed?" After hearing this, Zhou Chu changed his ways and eventually became a loyal minister.
