Zhang Yu 1937 was born in Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province on August 3rd. 1960 graduated from Chinese Department of Hangzhou University. 196 1 was appointed as the teaching assistant of Mr. Lu, Department of Chinese Painting, Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts (now China Academy of Fine Arts). 1963 Follow Teacher Lu to participate in the calligraphy undergraduate teaching initiated by Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts. 65438-0979 Member of the Steering Group of the First Calligraphy Postgraduate Course of Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts. Since then, he has participated in the teaching of master students, undergraduates and international students majoring in calligraphy, and engaged in the research and creation of calligraphy theory.
