how to make primary school students interested in learning Chinese painting? I have made some useful attempts and explorations through Chinese painting interest group counseling and art classroom teaching.
Step into life: Let students discover the beauty around them
Interest is the best teacher for children. Classroom is a social group, and many students have their own unique personalities and habits. Their observation and understanding of nature and society are different. In the counseling of interest groups, I let students observe and learn plum, orchid, bamboo, chrysanthemum, mountain, water, fish, insects and so on, so that the content of Chinese painting in primary schools conforms to children's psychological characteristics and is close to their lives. In the classroom teaching, after I let the students know something about the use of pen and ink in traditional Chinese painting, I will guide the children to draw sketches of the scenery around them and show flowers, vases, bicycles, furniture and other still lives with ink lines. Show life scenes, such as a corner of the bedroom, me at the window, a pleasant trip, a happy June 1, my good friend, lovely animals and so on. It not only embodies students as the main body, but also provides a broad world for students to play freely. For them, things that are very familiar are particularly exciting to draw, and their creative thinking has also been cultivated.
Second, design games: let students enjoy learning
Children are fond of playing games by nature, and they are lively and imaginative by nature. I skillfully use this feature, so that students can learn to observe and think in the process of "playing" and gradually master skills in the happy practice of Chinese painting. In the teaching of "Playing with Ink Lines", I designed to let children go to nature to find ink lines. Guide the children to enjoy the natural scenery such as desert, beach, forest, terraced fields and hillside, and at the same time, compete who draws more realistic lines. I instructed the children to practice pen training independently, such as center and flank, and then designed a game of using color and ink, so that they could boldly compose pictures, have a further understanding of the relationship between various kinds of pens and colors, the relationship between density and so on, and master the pen and ink of Chinese painting in a subtle way, which has achieved twice the result with half the effort.
Practice has proved that letting students learn Chinese painting independently in the game can stimulate children's learning enthusiasm and creativity, which is conducive to maximizing the efficiency of classroom teaching of Chinese painting.
Third, practice writing brush: let students lay a solid foundation
In the extracurricular tutoring of Chinese painting for primary school students, it is found that most of the paintings made by students are ok, but they are dwarfed by their inscriptions. The ancients said that "calligraphy and painting are of the same origin". It means: the brush used in calligraphy is the language of Chinese painting modeling. Without the brush used in calligraphy, it is difficult to talk about Chinese painting. Calligraphers' feelings directly affect painters, and calligraphy theory is the basic teaching material for painters to use pens. Therefore, Chinese painting itself has a strong interest in calligraphy. The lines and Mo Yun of Chinese painting reveal the beauty of abstraction everywhere, which has independent aesthetic value. That is to say, even if you leave the object, you can enjoy each stroke and piece by piece alone, which can make people feel happy and ecstatic. It can be seen that it is very important to guide students to practice calligraphy. In order to practice calligraphy well, I first made them familiar with the performance of the brush and the method of writing, and then carefully tried to figure out the skills of beautiful inscriptions and how to enhance the strength of painting lines, and they gradually understood some high-level brushstrokes, thus helping primary school students to further grasp the image-building and spiritual contrast.
fourth, grasp the technique: let students pursue God
Chinese painting has its own system in the world art field. It can be roughly divided into: figures, landscapes, boundary paintings, flowers, melons and fruits, feathers, animals, insects and fish; Meticulous brushwork, freehand brushwork, hooking, color setting, ink painting and other techniques, color setting is golden, turquoise, boneless, splash color, light color, light crimson and so on. Use lines and ink colors to describe the image and business position by hook, spot, dye, thick, light, dry and wet, yin, yang, direction, back, virtual, real, sparse, dense and blank; View layout, wide field of vision, not rigid focus perspective. Therefore, I carefully explain and demonstrate the five-finger writing method and essentials to the children during teaching; Strict requirements during training, check one by one, and pay attention to cultivate their good habit of writing. Through demonstration and explanation, let the students flexibly use the basic pen techniques such as center and side wing to help them master that the center hook line is mainly shaped, and the side wing is dipped in thick ink and painted in a large area. How to distinguish the shade of ink, it is the most basic ink color in Chinese painting; How to master the attributes of Xuan paper, the dryness and wetness of the pen, etc., so that students can observe, practice and experience more. With a deeper understanding, and then let them paint on rice paper, they can gradually achieve the goal of practice makes perfect.
5. Appreciating copying: Let students sublimate their emotions
Copying is an important technique to learn classical calligraphy or painting, and it is also the main way and means to learn from and inherit excellent traditions. In teaching, I attach great importance to students' copying training, pay attention to guiding students to seriously study the techniques of using pen, ink and color by Chinese painting masters, and appreciate and understand the characteristics and connotations of Chinese painting: alternating shades, matching ink and color, breaking the color with thick, and breaking the color with ink. In addition to appreciation, students are encouraged to use the pen boldly and give full play to it, and experience the effect achieved by mutual rendering and mixing of water, ink and color in practice. In my teaching, I boldly innovate the traditional teaching methods focusing on teaching techniques and skills, pay attention to connecting with real life, inspire children's creative spirituality, let students perceive and experience painting from visual impressions, and achieve the purpose of cultivating students' imagination and creativity. Through the practice of sketching, students not only cultivate their ability to observe nature and things carefully, but also better cooperate with the teaching of Chinese painting. We don't advocate formal adult sketch training for children too early, but it is an important means for the harmonious connection and development of Chinese painting and sketch teaching to arrange children to do line sketch exercises properly.
Children's Chinese paintings are childish and like pictures with strong color ink effect. We should not set too high demands on the multi-level distinction of ink color, such as "using a pen with a bone method and vivid charm". In a word, in order to carry forward China's traditional culture and cultivate more Chinese painting lovers, we art educators need to work hard to explore, and we hope more children's friends can create more and more beautiful pictures of China.
