Guoguang of Anti-Japanese Mountain Martyrs Cemetery in Ganyu
The blood of martyrs is the light of the nation. The martyrs shed their blood and sacrificed heroically for national independence and liberation, and their deeds will always shine with the glory of the national spirit. They are not only admired by the younger generation, but also a banner that inspires the anti-Japanese soldiers and civilians to bravely kill the enemy. 194 1 In March, the Second Brigade of the Eighth Route Army was instructed by 1 15 Division to jointly launch the Ganyu Campaign with the Second Brigade of Shandong Column, annihilating more than 600 Japanese puppet troops and expanding the coastal anti-Japanese base areas. Binhai soldiers and civilians miss the sacrificed warriors more when they win, so they are going to build the "Anti-Japanese Martyrs Memorial Tower". Fu, the political commissar of the Second Brigade, was ordered to personally inspect and finally selected Maanshan Peak in the west of Ganyu County. Commemorative tower was started on July 7th 194 1 and completed on July 7th 1942. The Shandong Military Region held an inaugural ceremony to pay tribute to the anti-Japanese martyrs. When the memorial tower was about to be completed, the Political Department of the Second Teaching Brigade found another list of martyrs in the file box. In order not to let the reputation of the martyrs be forgotten, it was decided to continue to build the memorial hall for the anti-Japanese martyrs. Construction started on August 1942 and was completed on July 7 1943. On the same day, Binhai held a meeting to mourn the martyrs who died in the Yellow Sea, Xiao Sha and East China Sea War in March of that year, and decided to move the remains of the martyrs to Anti-Japanese Mountain. In the same year165438+1October 26th, Fu died of illness, and the coastal soldiers and civilians built a mausoleum for the general at the southern foot of Maanshan. 1On July 7th, 944, the Anti-Japanese Martyrs Cemetery took shape in the remote and desolate Maanshan. Maanshan was renamed "Anti-Japanese Mountain". The soldiers and civilians in Binhai held a meeting of 5,000 people here to hold a public sacrifice for the martyrs who died in the seven years since the Anti-Japanese War. Climb the anti-Japanese summit and look up at the towering memorial tower. The top of the tower looks like a statue of the Eighth Route Army, with a flag in one hand and a gun in the other. In front of the tower, there are seven Chinese characters inscribed by Wu Zhongqi, a famous calligrapher and commander of Lu column, "Anti-Japanese Martyrs Memorial Tower". When the memorial tower was built, local scholars were everywhere to write inscriptions on it. However, despite their exquisite calligraphy skills, scholars always feel a lack of individuality. Finally, Wu Zhongqi, the young leader of the army, was invited to write an inscription. I couldn't find a bucket pen, so I used a local hemp to make a writing brush. Wu Zhongqi is full of heroism, such as the inscription "Monument to the Anti-Japanese Martyrs". The scholars sighed and praised: "There are so many talents in the production party and the Eighth Route Army, why worry about the Japanese aggressors!"
