How is the night view of Huangguoshu Waterfall formed?

In summer and autumn, floods skyrocket, waterfalls pour like a galaxy, and thunder rumbles. You can hear the roar more than ten miles away. Due to the strong impact of water flow, the splashing water mist can spread to hundreds of meters, so that stockyards and markets near waterfalls are often covered with splashing water mist.

Xu Xiake, a famous geographer and traveler in Ming Dynasty, traveled all over the country and praised Huangguoshu Waterfall:

..... Danfu said, "For Baishui River. There is a hanging place in front, which is deeper than this. " I hate it being different, and I still feel sorry. Half a mile downstream, there is a huge stone bridge on the water, which is used for Baihongqiao. Its bridge spans north and south, there are three doors under the bridge, and the water flow is very wide. Every few feet, snow is sprayed from the cliff at the bottom of the stream, which is full of egrets. The name of whitewater is not fake! Crossing the bridge to the north, half a mile west with the stream, suddenly clouds covered the fog, and thunder burst, which was wonderful! If you look south through the gap in Gansu, you will find the road hanging on the left side of the stream, and it will fly away. The stones on the stream are covered like lotus leaves, and three doors are cut out in the middle. Water overflows from the top of the leaf, like ten thousand pieces, and the door is covered horizontally. Straight down doesn't count. Pouring pearls and breaking jade, water drops surge back, like smoke flying, very powerful. The so-called bead curtain hook does not roll, and the horse is unable to do so, imitating its strength. Gai Yu saw the waterfall, which was several times higher and steeper, but never so wide and so big. But from top to bottom, you can't help but be shocked. And Danfu said: "I hope Shuige can rest before this!" ……

Statue of Xu Xiake According to historical records, Xu Xiake traveled to Guizhou twice and wrote the Diary of a Journey to Guizhou. Among them, Huangguoshu Waterfall was well received. Later, Huangguoshu Waterfall was gradually recognized by people. With the popularity of Xu Xiake's Travel Notes in Kyushu, Huangguoshu Waterfall is also famous. On the 400th anniversary of Xu Xiake's birth (1987 65438+1October), people made a statue of Xu Xiake in front of Huangguoshu Waterfall to express their gratitude to this great traveler.

Every winter and spring, although the spring is small, the waterfall is divided into three or five shares, but it does not lose its "wide and big" momentum. From a distance, the white water curtain floated down, like silks and satins, like a girl's gauze ... A famous calligrapher in Guizhou wrote couplets in the Qing Dynasty:

White water, like cotton, is scattered without a bow; Colorful clouds are like brocade, why weave the sky?

This couplet vividly summarizes the magnificent scenery of Huangguoshu Waterfall.

Huangguoshu waterfall falls down like a broken jade and a broken pearl; Horseshoe Pond and Rhinoceros Pond are surging, and bubbles are rising in the air, fluttering and shining. There is a wonderful legend about this beautiful scenery:

During the Three Kingdoms period, Zhuge Liang of Shu went south. Guan Yu's son Guan Suo was ordered to lead his troops south to Huangguoshu Waterfall, only to see Baishui River blocking the way. Although the river is not wide, the depth of the water is so fast that there is no bridge to cross it, let alone a boat. Guan Suo ordered the army to camp on the west bank of the river and sent people to cut down trees and build ships. Finally, a wooden boat was built, and Guan Suo ordered the sergeant to carry it to the river for a trial crossing. As everyone knows, the river is so fast that the boat can't row to the other side, but it goes downstream, planting Huangguoshu Waterfall, and the boat is broken.

Guan Suo also ordered the mountain to fetch stones and bridge. All the soldiers beat the rocks at the foot of the western hills all day, but they can't knock out a few stones-the stones here are as hard as iron. Many soldiers were injured in their hands, feet and legs, and finally they laid a pile of stones, barely enough to arch a small bridge.

The night before they planned to start the arch bridge, an old man with a white beard suddenly appeared, riding a pony with horns and a round gourd hanging around his waist. The old man unhurriedly came to the quarry and took the gourd off his waist. Every time he picked a stone, he dropped a drop of water. After the drip, people and horses disappeared.

The next day, the soldiers used those stones to go to the arch bridge. After the bridge was arched, Guan Suo rode his horse and led the way across the bridge. Who knows, the originally hard stone becomes as soft as tofu. As soon as Ma Gang set foot on the bridge, it collapsed. Guan Suo and the horse fell into the river together, and the horse left a big hoofprint on one of the stones, which is now the horseshoe pond.

Locked up riding a white horse dragon. After he fell into the river, the horse jumped and the rope was carried ashore, so Guan Suo didn't drown. At this moment, the old man with white beard appeared again. He asked Guan Suo, "Why did you bring troops here?" Guan Suo said, "I have been ordered by my master and strategist to expand the territory of Western Shu and unify China." The old man asked again, "Are the people here willing to submit to your master?" I guess the old man must be the leader of the mountain people here. He quickly dismounted and bowed down to the old man, saying, "My master obeys God's will, cherishes the people of the world, prospers China, and looks forward to old gods's assistance to create a great cause for generations to come."

The old man thinks Guan Suo is right. Seeing that the Shu army meant no harm, he promised to help cross the river. The old man rode away on a pony and brought nine beautiful southern girls the next day. Each of them carries a big basket of seven-color silk thread and a shiny silver shuttle. Nine girls tapestry beside the waterfall, weaving kuya for nine days, weaving 9,999 brocade horses. The old man threw brocade on the river under the waterfall and turned it into a colorful bridge. Guan Suo led the troops to cross the bridge safely, bid farewell to the old gods and set off for the south.

Throughout the ages, countless literati have praised Huangguoshu Waterfall. The famous contemporary poet and calligrapher Zhang Shoufu's "Looking at Huangguoshu Waterfall" is full of praise;

The vast galaxy is thinning, while Chihiro is practicing levitation.

The thunder crackled and the lion roared before falling down.

The poet is full of passion and the general is galloping.

Whoever sends a giant pen will brush the sky with weeds.

There are historical legends about Huangguoshu Waterfall and appreciation of its beautiful scenery in the poem, which makes people have a deeper impression on the waterfall.

Approaching Huangguoshu Waterfall, the sudden scene in front of you can't help but be fascinating. Step by step, stay in the rhinoceros pond where the waterfall falls and look up at the waterfall. Colorful rainbows hung on the bead curtain splashed by the waterfall are unpredictable. The ancients said that "the clouds in the sky line the sky, and the clouds in rhinoceros beach line the snow-white waterfall", which is just right.

Huangguoshu Waterfall is not as long as Lushan Waterfall, but it is much wider than it, so it looks extraordinary and magnificent. Huangguoshu Waterfall is a masterpiece of nature!
