Zhang Ding is an idealist. In his early years, he was imprisoned for hating the corrupt Kuomintang government and drawing cartoons to satirize it. He went to Yan 'an to seek truth for his ideal. In the early days of liberation, he was the first person to design the images of * * * and China. He proposed that we should study in the ocean of traditional folk arts, all advanced cultures and modern cultures, and on this basis, we should develop China's modern art and establish our own view of art education. We are the direct beneficiaries of his ideas. We used to call his idea "Picasso and the City God Temple".
After liberation, Mr. Wang devoted himself to academic research and had a special liking for the reform of Chinese painting. 1954, together with Mr. Li Keran and Mr. Luo Ming, he launched the ink painting movement, making him a pioneer of modern landscape art in China. In the early 1960s, under the combination of modern and folk art, his colorful ink painting embarked on the road to further improve modern ink painting. Unfortunately, due to the sudden change of political situation, he terminated his exploration in this field, leaving a deep regret for history.
After the reform and opening up, Mr. Wang devoted himself to the cultural revival movement in the new period with full enthusiasm. He led the creation of the famous Mural of the Capital Airport. This event has become a landmark event in the ideological and cultural field of China's reform and opening up. After the painful "Cultural Revolution", Mr. Zhang Ding's art began to enter a profound reflection. With Jiao Mo's painting as a breakthrough, he rebuilt our confidence in the vitality of traditional art with great courage and will through this very profound professional painting language. He used his art to tell us that the revival of China culture is based on a deep understanding and cognition of his own historical tradition. In the 20th century China art stage, Zhang Ding was definitely the protagonist, not the protagonist of any scene, but the protagonist of the whole drama. 1938, he brought the ideal of beauty to Yan 'an. He and Xiaojun found an abandoned big house, thinking that Lu Xun compared the old China to a house with shabby doors and windows, so he renovated the big house and created an ideal pocket picture of China at that time-writers' club.
