1, determine the content
The general requirement is that the content of hard-pen calligraphy works should be relatively complete, healthy and progressive. You can choose ready-made or self-written poems, essays, aphorisms, phrases, etc. According to the purpose of creation; You can also consider the length of the book from two aspects: the size of the paper and the size of the text to be written.
2, determine the style
Compared with brush calligraphy, hard-pen calligraphy works usually have a smaller layout, but the commonly used styles are roughly the same. In addition to the fact that you can't usually write the main hall, you can choose the common styles of brush calligraphy such as banners, banners, fans, couplets and long scrolls in the creation of hard-pen calligraphy works.
Step 3 write the text
Words are the main body of the work, occupying most of the position of the work, so it needs to be arranged reasonably. When writing, we should pay attention to the following points: pay attention to the arrangement of rules: the size of word spacing and line spacing, the straightness of lines, the equality of flat tops and ridges, especially the font and style of words, and the arrangement should be appropriate.
Pay attention to the correctness of the font and the unity of style: you can write both standardized simplified characters and traditional characters, but you must not mix traditional characters with simplified characters, because the mixing of traditional characters and simplified characters is considered to be a manifestation of the creator's low cultural and artistic literacy. About punctuation marks: you don't have to use punctuation marks, you don't have to use opening bows, spaces, paragraphs, etc. to write specifications; If the punctuation format is adopted, the punctuation used should be correct, and the integrity and aesthetics of the format should not be damaged.
4. Title
Inscriptions and Postscripts refer to other words other than the main body of calligraphy works, which are mainly used to explain the author, writing time and place of the written works.
5. Style
The position of the inscription has no fixed format and absolute position, and it is related to the text. The content of the inscription can be long or short, depending on the situation, but the font size should not be different, and there should be a corresponding proportion. The size of the inscription should be coordinated with the size of the text. The font used in the inscription conforms to the traditional practice, and in principle, it abides by the rules of "today is not more ancient" and "moving is not static", so as to make the past serve the present and have a correct style. But no matter what font the text is, it is always possible to write the title in lines.
Generally speaking, the titles of calligraphy works are called nicknames, not common names. For example, "The book was written in 2007" is a common name, which should be "The book was written in the year of Dinghai".
