How to learn China's calligraphy?

How to practice calligraphy well in these two to three years?

1. Appreciate the teacher and find a calligraphy teacher.

The most important thing in learning calligraphy is the method, not the efficiency. If you learn from scratch, it is probably impossible for a person to spend two or three years. In this limited time, you need to take the most correct path. Teacher's guidance can help you get started quickly.

2. Participate in professional training

There is a famous saying that swift horses are common, but bole is not common. In this era, where can we find warmth? Benefits outweigh everything. It's hard to learn from teachers without spending a penny! If your family has good economic conditions, you can spend money on training, but remember that it must be professional-level training. Never go to the education and training institutions you see on the street. Teaching children is similar. It is suggested to go to the workshops of famous teachers who teach in the Academy of Fine Arts, such as Mr. Lu Dadong, Mr. Ding Wanli and Mr. Wang Yijun from China Academy of Fine Arts, or some students who graduated from calligraphy colleges for training.

Because I was exposed to a lot of calligraphy training before the college entrance examination, this kind of training will train students in four styles of calligraphy, seal, official script, line and model. What you need to do is to be versatile and at least be good at one style of writing. Work hard if you like seal script, work hard if you like official script, and strive for perfection from copying to creation. Also pay attention to the choice of brushwork, such as writing regular script of Yan, Liu and ou, which has no advantage! Because these things are seen too much, and unless your comprehension ability is beyond ordinary people, it is difficult to write vivid and surprising things. Writing about Chu Suiliang and Zhao Mengfu is a hot topic at present, not following the trend, but writing according to one's own preferences and current aesthetic characteristics.

In addition, I can see the kind of short stories that won prizes by learning from Erwang and Zhao Mengfu in many exhibitions. To tell you the truth, I don't particularly like it. After reading too much, I think their lines are very weak, let alone their personalities. The ancients usually wrote fine print because of the limitation of conditions, but now it is different. You can waste all kinds of paper and pens at will. I advocate writing bigger words, like those of Huang Tingjian and Wang Duo. You can only see the spirit when the lines are released. Thin lines are easy to write, but thick lines are hard to write. The bigger the brush shop, the more you can hone your skills and kung fu. Like Kang Youwei's words, some of his lines are tense and elastic, which I think is beautiful. If we can combine the methods of changing the structure and increasing the pressure, it will definitely open the eyes of the judges.
