Song Sijia: Su Shi, Huang Tingjian, Mi Fei, Cai Xiang?
1, Su Shi (1037-11), a native of Meishan, Sichuan, was a famous writer and painter in the Northern Song Dynasty. His poems are bold and unconstrained, and he is one of the eight great poets in Tang and Song Dynasties. Su Shi is famous for his talent and fame. He was framed and imprisoned for writing a poem "slandering state affairs". After he was released from prison, he was banished to Huangzhou. After several ups and downs, he was demoted to Huizhou and Qiongzhou, and later placed in Danzhou (now Dan County, Hainan Province). From then on, he lived a life of reading and painting in his later years. It was not until the third year of Fu Yuan (1 100) that he was pardoned and returned to the north. In July, Yuan (1 10 1) died in Changzhou. Su Shi is upright, broad-minded and brilliant, and is good at painting and calligraphy. He, Cai Xiang, Huang Tingjian and Mi Fei are also called "Song Sijia". When talking about his own calligraphy creation process, he said: "Writing. I have everything in my head. " He added, "I can't make a book with my mind. I'm tired of asking for it." He focused on writing "meaning" and pinned his affection on the stippling written by "faithful hand". Su Shi's writing seems plain and simple, but it has a majestic Wang Yang spirit, just like his profound knowledge, the dragon is unpredictable. He is good at running script and regular script. Give people the artistic beauty of "the breath of sea breeze" and "the shape of ancient rocks". Su Shi's calligraphy is highly respected by later generations. Huang Tingjian said in "Valley Collection": "His calligraphy is very attractive ... until he was drunk, he forgot his work, and his words were extremely thin ... As for using a pen, it was mellow and rhyming, and the article was wonderful, loyal and awe-inspiring.
2. Mi Fei (1051-kloc-0/107), whose real name is Xiangyang Manshi, is a scholar of the sea and the moon, and is a layman. His ancestral home is Taiyuan, Shanxi, and he later settled in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu. Because of his eccentric personality and crazy behavior, he called him "brother" when he met a stone and worshipped him, so he was called. As a painter, appraiser and collector, he is one of the "four calligraphers of Song Dynasty" (Su, Mi, Huang and Cai) and is second to none. His calligraphy style is unrestrained and his statutes are rigorous. "The Biography of Wen Yuan in the History of Song Dynasty" said: "Bi's calligraphy is particularly refined, and Shen Fei's brushwork is obtained." ?
Mi Fei worked hard all his life and made the greatest achievement in calligraphy. Mi Fei claimed that his works were "collections of ancient Chinese characters", and he had a deep understanding of the brushwork, composition and charm of ancient masters, which also showed to some extent that Mi Fei had made great efforts in the tradition of learning books. Miffy was not involved in the political whirlpool and her life was relatively stable. Later, he became a doctor of painting and calligraphy, enjoyed the collection of books in the palace and read thousands of stories. The gains and losses of the ancients are countless. He laid a solid foundation. When Su Shi was demoted to Huangzhou, he visited for advice, and Dongpo advised him to study Jin Yuanfeng for five years (1082). Mi Fei devoted himself to Wei and Jin Dynasties, taking the calligraphy style of Jin people as a mirror, and visited the calligraphy posts of Jin people all over the world. Even his study was named after "Jinbaozhai". It is said that Mozhongqiugang is his temporary post. Learn to write walls first, but you won't be able to write simply when you are seven or eight years old. When you see a willow and admire its tight knot, you learn the Diamond Sutra. For a long time, you knew it came from Europe, but you learned from Europe. For a long time, you have been learning from Chu for the longest time. You studied on a printed board. All along, you think Duan Quanze exhibited Lanting.
Mi Fei is famous for his calligraphy, and his achievements come entirely from his hard training the day after tomorrow. Miffy insists on going to the pool every day. According to historical records, "if you don't write for a day, you will feel sleepy, thinking that the ancients didn't waste books for half a time." "Zhi Yong inkstone into mortar, can reach the right army (Wang Xizhi). If he penetrates from Zhong Yao and Suo Jing, he can be inspired forever. I said to myself, "She wrote Poems of Haidai three or four times, but one or two words were sometimes good and sometimes bad, so it was hard to believe her book" (Mingming Fan's Mi Fei Yang Zhu). A poem has been written three or four times, and only one or two words satisfy her. The bitterness in it is beyond the reach of an expert, which also shows that his creative attitude is rigorous.
Mi Fei's calligraphy ranks behind Su Dongpo and Huang Tingjian and before Cai Xiang in Song Sijia. However, regardless of Su Dongpo's position as a scholar or Huang Tingjian's influence as a leader of Jiangxi Poetry School, Mi Fei's traditional skill is the deepest in terms of calligraphy, especially his running script, which shows that the two are right. Dong Qichang's Essay on Painting Zen Rooms in the Ming Dynasty said: "I tried to comment on the word rice, thinking that the Song Dynasty was the first, after all, it was above Dongpo. That is, when the emperor asked about calligraphy, Mi Fei claimed to be a "brush character", which was modest and practical, while "brush character" was characterized by being quick and powerful with his pen and trying his best to be complacent. His calligraphy works, from poems to inscriptions, are full of passion, vitality and freshness. No wonder Su Dongpo said, "Mi Fei was ecstatic. "He also said," Haiyue is a seal engraver, an official, a true, practical and cursive calligrapher, and a horse with a strong wind. He was very happy when he walked side by side with Zhong Wang. It's not just worth it. "Mi Fei's calligraphy has a far-reaching influence, especially in the late Ming Dynasty, many scholars emerged, such as Wen Zhiming, Zhu Yunming, Chen Chun and Xu Wei.
Mi Fei's calligraphy has reached a very high level, and there are many comments on calligraphy, including History of Calligraphy, Famous Sentences of Haiyue, Zhang Bao to be Visited, Calligraphy Review and so on. He showed his outstanding courage and refined taste. He sneered at his predecessors, but never followed the old saying, which was highly praised by calligraphers of all ages, but it was also exaggerated.
Mi Fei is good at ink and wash landscapes and is known as "Yunshan of Mi Fei", but Mi Fei's paintings do not exist in the world. But at present, the only thing we can see is the real "rice painting"-"coral pen holder", and one of the coral pen holders is painted with the word "golden sitting" by Zuo Shu. Then, with the rice dots and inscriptions, the water of Mi Jiashan suddenly emerged. It's interesting that Miffy painted a ghost.
