My calligraphy journey
In a spacious and bright room, a boy was holding a brush in his hand, leaning on the table with concentration and writing something. The speed of writing is sometimes fast, sometimes slow, sometimes vigorous and powerful, sometimes delicate and elegant.
You must be wondering who this boy is, yes, it’s me! I have been studying calligraphy for a long time. However, in this short period of time, I have changed a lot.
I remember that I started learning calligraphy when I was five and a half years old. At first, my handwriting was crooked, uneven horizontally and vertically. But I was still very interested because there was a brother in the calligraphy class who wrote very well. His handwriting made me envious and became my goal. When I was practicing calligraphy, I didn’t have that much energy. The teacher taught us to stand and write, which lasted two hours. At first, I couldn't concentrate at all. When I finally managed to concentrate, my physical strength failed again, which often bothered me. I have no choice but to keep practicing. Gradually, I found that I could concentrate and persist to the end within two hours. It turns out that these are the benefits of practicing calligraphy. It can not only hone one's will, but also cultivate one's sentiments and cultivate one's character.
From then on, I fell in love with calligraphy.
After my unremitting practice, my calligraphy skills have improved day by day. When I took over the first trophy with excited hands, I felt a sense of accomplishment in my heart. Instead of being complacent, I continued to study and gradually gained some understanding of calligraphy. I knew that calligraphy would accompany me throughout my life.
As I practiced from shallow to deep, I discovered the characteristics of Chinese characters. Yan Ti is a beginner who learns to write boldly and informally. Finally, it is transformed into small and exquisite, striving for excellence. The body of the Diamond Sutra is very flat and has a sacred meaning. The small seal script is mysterious and beautiful, like a series of smart paintings, while the official script is solemn and elegant, with a slight scholarly atmosphere. Willow body is strong and powerful, which reminds you of the word "strong and unyielding". Of course, there are many kinds of fonts...
Now, I can shuttle back and forth between movement and stillness, as quiet as a virgin and as active as a rabbit. I have mastered more and more fonts. Not only my calligraphy with calligraphy but also pen calligraphy has improved. I am also honored to be a member of the blackboard newspaper team. There are really many benefits to writing! It is more conducive to my study!
Since I have been practicing calligraphy, I have been able to attend classes rain or shine. Even when I am sick, I insist on going to class. Calligraphy and I have become one. I know I still have many shortcomings, but I am willing to keep going until forever!
