We are no strangers when it comes to bamboo pen calligraphy. With the appearance of the title of "Pen Calligraphy" in1980s, she developed "Hard Pen Calligraphy" with hard materials as writing tools. Bamboo pen is a writing tool made of bamboo materials, such as bamboo sticks, bamboo tubes, bamboo chips and so on. Bamboo pen is one of the writing pens in the field of hard pen calligraphy. People directly call it bamboo pen calligraphy, because it is an artistic work written with bamboo pen.
The characteristics of bamboo pen calligraphy are: because the angle and size of the pen tip can be made by ourselves, the ink used in bamboo pen is dry and wet, so it can show various kinds of stippling, vertical and horizontal white lines and endless images. After 20 years of painstaking study and creation, some of the author's works have been published by many domestic newspapers and periodicals. In the creation, there are also some experiences and sentiments. First, exaggeration and mutation reflect the pen that echoes reality.
Compared with pens, ballpoint pens, marker pens and writing brushes, bamboo pens are at a disadvantage in absorbing, storing and transporting ink. The method of holding a pen is different from other kinds of pens: when writing with a bamboo pen, different strokes and handwriting are displayed by changing the angle of holding the pen and rotating the pen tube. Bamboo pen is difficult to use, which requires our persistent efforts.
Bamboo brush calligraphy should try to use exaggerated and varied pens. Her key is to exaggerate the timely and sudden harmony. The ingenious expression of the change of the virtual and real lines of bamboo pens can form a far-near echo relationship in our vision. Therefore, making the works have a sense of time and space and a three-dimensional sense can make people have broad, rich and magnificent associations. I think the innovation of calligraphy should be: works are different from the ancients and people at that time. It not only absorbs the meaning of the ancients, but also has the flavor of the people at that time, reflecting my unique ancient charm and new ideas.
Where is the source and motivation of innovation? It is in the process of diligence and study, it is in the process of soliciting opinions and appointment, it is in the process of accumulation, and it is in the accumulation of culture!
"Learn from me and live like me" should be the creative creed of our calligraphers. Only by applying what you have learned can you achieve mastery. Calligraphy reuse pen and structure. Different structures can create works with different spirits. Therefore, in order to create an innovative structure, it is necessary to absorb the laws and methods of previous structures, learn from others' strengths, and constantly temper ourselves. Innovative works are not only reflected in the pen, but also in the structure. I have worked hard to create some works, such as Bai Yunfei, Taste, Swimming, Violet, Willow Waves and Yingying.
Third, set up contradictions and pursue unity of opposites.
As far as calligraphy works are concerned, if they are unremarkable and unremarkable, they will lose their artistic characteristics, let alone appreciate their significance. Calligraphy art is an abstract philosophy, which pursues the unity of opposites as a whole. When creating, we should set our own contradictions, allow them to exist in large numbers, and strive to make calligraphy works present harmony and unity in opposition. The creation of bamboo brush calligraphy is no exception. We should actively set up contradictions and deal with them, such as the yin of excess and deficiency, the length of thickness, the opening and closing of density, the dryness of disease and dampness, and the stagnation of Fiona Fang. To integrate these contradictions into the book, the more inclusive and more resolved, the deeper the artistic conception and the more images, the better the effect.
While pursuing the unity of opposites, we should also pay attention to the proper use of personal seals and leisure seals. We should choose the content of leisure articles according to our work and use them appropriately in our work. This not only harmonizes the rules of calligraphy, but also expresses feelings, which can make the finishing point. In order to facilitate the use of seals, I made some famous seals and leisure seals. For example, the famous articles: Xiao Xing 'an (printed in one word, which naturally and skillfully reminds people of the image of shore willow), the freehand brushwork ZhaiNo.: Qingyuan Zhai (with pavilions and cornices, meandering water and flowing willows), and the leisure articles: Seeking novelty, Writing My Heart, Heart Painting, Changle and Harmony. It is often used in my works to express my love for hard pen calligraphy.
If you can use your own personal seal and leisure stamp properly when creating calligraphy works with pens and structures, the composition of the works will be more harmonious. I embody creative pen and knot, and pursue the beauty of composition: goose, dragon, return, north wind, love between ice and snow, winding path leading to a secluded place and so on.
Fourth, black words on a white background, lyricism is more heart-warming.
Bamboo pen creation, like other kinds of pen creation, pays more attention to lyric painting and performance of works, that is, when we write, the lyric ink on the whole paper should echo properly, be interesting and rhyme naturally. The works I try my best to show are: Spring, Feeling, Fishing Songs, Laibo, Wilderness, Bai Yunfei, Snow in Saibei and so on.
Fifth, complement the realm of poetry, and kung fu is outside the poem.
"To learn poetry, your kung fu is above poetry." Lu Fangweng, a great poet, advised his son that we might as well apply it to the study of calligraphy, that is, to learn books, and kung fu should be outside the books. "I can't imagine my book. There are always poems in this old box. " Su Dongpo, a great writer, calligrapher and painter, hit the nail on the head. Calligraphy needs the nourishment and accumulation of sister artistic knowledge such as literature, history, philosophy, beauty and music, dance, painting and architecture. The so-called mastery through a comprehensive study, full of poetry and calligraphy, calligraphy is also the same!
More than ten years ago, newspapers and media recommended bamboo brush calligraphy, but it did not leave a deep impression on readers. In recent years, due to the "rejection" of bamboo brush calligraphy by most professional calligraphy newspapers and periodicals, this unique art has become increasingly indifferent in people's hearts. Nowadays, fewer and fewer people are committed to the creation of bamboo brush calligraphy, and more people are discouraged because it is difficult to master their own pen and ink. This also confirms a simple truth: difficult things are often strange.
The ideal bamboo pen calligraphy has superb technical performance. She should not only show the difficulty of controlling pen and ink, but also fully show the rich changes of strokes, such as the dryness of strokes, the five colors of ink and the unity of opposites.
