"Whether you know it or not, you should be green, fat, red, or thin." This is the last sentence in Li Qingzhao's poem "Ru Meng Ling", because of the hit song some time ago Known for the TV series of the same name. This first female poet in history has once again attracted public attention thousands of years later.
Li Qingzhao was born into a scholarly family and lived a prosperous life. Her father liked to collect books and encouraged Li Qingzhao to study. In such a family environment, Li Qingzhao was deeply influenced by the cultural atmosphere, and he had a maturity and talent that was different from his peers since he was a child.
Her unique fresh and graceful style of writing is still a model in the world of ancient poetry. In terms of human relationships, Li Qingzhao made it easy for Zhao Mingcheng to get to know each other in his early years, and the two later got married because of love. Later, due to changes in my family and country, I lived a wandering life. However, being able to spend a lifetime with someone who loves you is undoubtedly a blessing in a traditional society where parents' fate is determined by the matchmaker's words. But such true feelings still left some regrets in Li Qingzhao's inner world. These regrets caused by love have also left bits and pieces of records in her past poems.
Becoming famous as a teenager
Sometimes, for talented people, achieving fame in childhood is so natural. The unique talent revealed by young Li Qingzhao is not only influenced by his family, but also his talent. Li Qingzhao's father, Li Gefei, was a student of the great writer Su Shi. He was good at calligraphy and writing throughout his life. He liked to collect epigraphy, calligraphy and paintings. He once served as an official in the Ministry of Rites. Li Qingzhao's mother is the granddaughter of the Number One Scholar, and her personal literary accomplishment is extremely high. In such a scholarly family environment, although Li Qingzhao was a woman, her talent was not inferior to that of many literati in Bianjing at that time.
Because his father worked in Beijing, teenage Li Qingzhao lived with his parents in the then prosperous Bianjing City. My father, who likes literature, often "makes friends with literature" at home. Listening to Li Qingzhao's poems from time to time also inspired me to express my inner feelings. Around 1100 AD, the eighteen-year-old Li Qingzhao wrote the song "Ru Meng Ling" at home, which still makes people sigh.
It rained a little last night and the wind was strong, and I had a hangover even after a deep sleep. Asked the shutter, Haitang was still there. You know, you know? It should be green fat, red and thin.
It is really amazing that the young Li Qingzhao can have such writing style and emotion. It was recorded in the "Yao Shan Tang Gai Zhuan" year. As soon as this word came out, all the literati in Bianjing City praised it. This is where Li Qingzhao’s reputation as a talented woman from Beijing comes from.
Love between the lines
Chao was a good friend of Li Qingzhao’s father. Because he appreciated her talent, he often gave her poetry suggestions and also showed his works to others. It was also this opportunity that Li Qingzhao's name continued to spread among the literati circles in Bianjing City.
Until one day, Li Qingzhao's poems came into the hands of Zhao Mingcheng, the son of Zhao Tingzhi, the minister of the Imperial Academy. Zhao Mingcheng, who is in his twenties, is immersed in Li Qingzhao's works, imagining what kind of woman everyone thinks Li Qingzhao is behind the lyrics.
Li Qingzhao’s cousin Li Jiong happened to be a classmate of Zhao Mingcheng in the business school, and Zhao Mingcheng wanted to take this opportunity to get to know Li Qingzhao. Regarding this encounter, in the song "Dian Lips" by Li Qingzhao, we seem to be able to see the scene and performance of the first encounter between two young people.
Swinging on the swing, I am too lazy to rub my delicate hands. Beside her, the thin virtue was covered with crystal dewdrops, and the sweat on her chest penetrated the thin silk robe.
Suddenly, a guest came. She was so desperate that she walked away without shoes, only socks, and even the gold pin on her head fell off. She ran away shyly and leaned against the door, smelling the fragrance of green plum blossoms.
Zhao and Li were representatives of the old and new factions in the court at that time. How did they end up becoming in-laws? There are two short stories about this matter. Zhao Mingcheng told his father at home: He dreamed of three sentences at night, "Words and company, pretending to be naked, Zhifu pulling weeds." After that it means "a woman's husband". How could the smart Zhao Tingzhi not understand the truth? Facing Li Fu, Zhao Mingcheng did not care about politics, and his hobbies of collecting epigraphy and calligraphy coincided with Li Fu. It was precisely because of this situation that Li Fu agreed to their wedding after consideration.
In 1101 AD, the talented girl Li Qingzhao married Zhao Mingcheng in Bianjing City. For the next 28 years, she traveled from Bianjing City to Qingzhou until the end.
Healthy.
Between them, there was happiness accompanied by poetry, calligraphy, painting and love, and there were also wanderings when family affairs were not going well. Even though life will change again, their hearts will never change. However, after Mingcheng passed away, the lonely Li Qingzhao thought of his regrets in this relationship from time to time in the rest of his life.
Living with regrets.
1. The regret of not having children in this life
The marriage of Li Qingzhao and Zhao Mingcheng without children has always been a mystery. After their marriage, Li Qingzhao and Zhao Mingcheng had a harmonious relationship, respecting and loving each other. In the second year of Daguan, Zhao Mingcheng's father, Zhao Tingzhi, died because his son Zhao Mingcheng offended the traitor Cai Jing. Therefore, Zhao Mingcheng was squeezed out of his official position by Cai Jing, and family changes forced Zhao Mingcheng to return to his hometown of Qingzhou with Li Qingzhao. But during these few days in Qingzhou, the two of them did not lose the joy of life because of career difficulties. In 1117 AD, Zhao Mingcheng was re-employed by the imperial court and served in Laizhou. At this point, Li and Zhao separated for the first time. During the separation, Li Qingzhao wrote down all his longing and love for her husband in poems. This is the so-called "love".
"Who sent the brocade book? The wild geese returned, and the moon was full in the west tower. The flowers bloomed and fell, and the water gurgled. One kind of lovesickness, two kinds of leisurely sorrow. This situation cannot be eliminated, so I frowned, but I am in my heart."
Her husband's melancholy lingered in Li Qingzhao's heart, and the pain of separation lasted for about five years.
Although the two have always had a deep relationship, in that feudal society, Zhao Mingcheng, like many people, had a concubine, which was not a big problem. But it was such an incident that always made Li Qingzhao, who was passionately in love, a little uncomfortable, and caused her mood to change drastically when she met Zhao Mingcheng. But for Li Qingzhao, in this deep emotion, the most regretful thing for her is probably that she did not have a child. China's traditional marriage culture has always emphasized the idea of ??"carrying on the family line". In their 27-year marriage, having no children has become their common regret.
2. The regrets left by the country and family in the suffering
When Li Qingzhao was forty-four years old, the Jin people invaded the south on a large scale, and Qin Zong and his son went north. This period is what we call the "Jingkang Incident" in history. After that, the Northern Song Dynasty court collapsed and the Southern Song Dynasty was established. Li Qingzhao also started to organize the furniture and prepare to move south.
Although she is a daughter, Li Qingzhao’s heart is still full of enthusiasm for the country. At that time, Song Gaozong, who was in power, blindly compromised on the surrender policy. Li Qingzhao was very dissatisfied and often wrote poems to satirize him. The meaning of those two sentences is: "The south is still afraid of Wujiang being cold, and the north will be sad when it gets cold."
What's more, her husband's behavior in front of state affairs made Li Qingzhao feel very guilty. In 1129 AD, when Zhao Mingcheng was in power, he encountered a mutiny. His subordinates reminded him many times, but he did not listen. Fortunately, his men were prepared to successfully defeat the rebels. However, Zhao Mingcheng, the top general who defended the city, used ropes to escape early. Afterwards, Zhao Mingcheng was dismissed, and Li Qingzhao felt ashamed. Later, when they arrived at Wujiang River, Li Qingzhao wrote, "He was born as a great man, but died as a ghost hero. He still misses Xiang Yu and refuses to cross the river. On the one hand, he satirized the incompetence of the court; on the other hand, he was helpless that his husband was not brave enough. When Zhao Mingcheng listened When he came to this poem, he felt guilty in his heart. An
How much courage does it take for a woman with a "gentleman's heart" to face the suffering of the country and family in the second half of her life when her husband leaves? Li Qingzhao, who is nearly fifty years old, still has his own life to live. The suffering of that country and family will eventually become the regret of my life.
3. Regrets in "Inscriptions and Paintings"
As we all know, Li Qingzhao and Zhao Mingcheng have the same hobby of collecting. They collected an amazing amount in their lives. During their wanderings, collecting was the most important thing for these two people. After Zhao Mingcheng's death, they regarded their collection as more important. , Li Qingzhao took his things to visit his relatives in Hongzhou, but found that some of the cultural relics and books sent by the Jin people before they captured Hongzhou were scattered into clouds. Helpless Li Qingzhao fled south during the war, losing most of the remaining cultural relics along the way. In 1131 AD, in Shaoxing, Zhejiang, a member of the Zhong family wanted to have their paintings stolen and lost most of their books and paintings. Li Qingzhao was so sad that he didn't know what to do and fled after a year. The ruthlessness of life on the road and her own helplessness put Li Qingzhao into a lonely situation. For this reason, she chose to marry Zhang Ruzhou. After marriage, Li Qingzhao found that she only wanted her own collection, but in fact Li Qingzhao's collection and belongings at that time. Not much. After Zhang Ruzhou learned the truth, he often insulted Li Qingzhao and even fought with him until Li Qingzhao discovered that Zhang Ruzhou was engaging in corruption in the officialdom and resolutely reported it, and was imprisoned for three years.
When Zhao Mingcheng left, Li Qingzhao just wanted to protect those classic collections. No one could have imagined that there would be no success on the way out, and that the lifelong efforts you and your husband had put into it would gradually be in vain. What I lost was not just the things, but also the emotional testimony of myself and my husband. For Li Qingzhao, what she lost turned into regret and finally the courage in her heart.
Li Qingzhao’s life in her later years was relatively bleak. What is admirable is that she did not lose her confidence in life. Feel free to walk in front of the various world pagodas Hua Songfeng. In her later years, she devoted the rest of her life to the poetry and songs she loved throughout her life. As a reader, I feel sorry for the regrets in her life, and also for the choices she made again and again in her life.
