The History and Legend of Bai Qing Village

Baiqingzhai Township has a long history, and the Kangningyingzi site in the territory proves that ancestors lived here in the Bronze Age about 3,000 years ago, and the village was formed in the Tang Dynasty. At the beginning of Qing Dynasty, Zheng Qing Baiqi Army was stationed here, and was called "Baiqi Village". 1693 (thirty-two years of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty), the ruler expected prosperity and renamed it "Baixingzhai"; At the end of the Qing Dynasty, local residents renamed the people's village Bai Qing Village according to the inscription "Innocent as water" given by the magistrate of a county to the local yamen.

Baiqingzhai has always enjoyed the reputation of "hometown of calligraphy and painting", "hometown of couplets" and "hometown of suona" in Liaoshen area. Handed down are calligraphy, painting, paper-cutting, sculpture, couplets and other characteristic cultural activities, as well as traditional customs such as Northeast Errenzhuan, Northeast Yangko and Dragon Lantern. Bai Qing's Quyi has a long history, complete skills and unique style. As early as the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty, there were artists playing with it. Bai Erren Zhuan and Yangge have high-pitched tunes, beautiful movements and easy-to-understand lyrics.
