Educational thesis

Ye Shengtao's Essays on Education in China (Volume I), Beijing Education Science Press, 1980, 10.

Ye Shengtao has served as editor, editor-in-chief or editor-in-chief of the following newspapers:

Saturday, Shanghai News, Shanghai Republic Daily, Literature Weekly, Axiom Daily, Chinese Monthly, Suzhou Review, Women's Magazine, Novel Monthly, Middle School Students, Enlightened Teenagers, China Writers, People's Education, China Language, Poetry, Guangming, chinese magazine and Middle School Students in the Semi-war.

Ye Shengtao's representative fairy tales:

Scarecrow, traveler, white boat, ancient hero stone statue, a seed, rose and goldfish, moon girl's wedding, mimosa, happy people, checkered dreams and so on.

In painting and calligraphy, Mr. Ye Shengtao also has certain attainments, and his works have been handed down from generation to generation. Mr. Ye Shengtao was obsessed with seal cutting in his early years. There are several of his posthumous works that can be seen at present, including: Great Songs are Empty and Ancient, Endless, How Bad, Worrying Drink, Sacred Pottery and King (Gambling). It is quite difficult to carve a stone with a square inch, but without certain knowledge of ancient Chinese characters and calligraphy, certain artistic modeling ability and practice of wielding a knife. Judging from Mr. Ye Shengtao's seal, he has all these things, and he has made considerable efforts in studying printing management.

Later generations learn seal cutting, or pursue ancient seal cutting in Qin and Han dynasties, or learn seal cutting in Ming and Qing dynasties recently; It can be clearly seen that Mr. Ye Shengtao's seal cutting is based on the Ming and Qing seal cutting schools; The methods of printing are: first, imitation, and experience from practice; The first is to read the printed spectrum and understand it in taste. Judging from his seal engravings such as "Bad intentions" and "Worrying after drinking", calligraphy and composition were all printed by the Qing Dynasty, including the legacy of Wu Xizai, a seal engraver in the Qing Dynasty. This seal is arranged according to the seal stick figure, with five characters and four characters, even and proper; The blade is round and steady, the blade is hidden but not sloppy, the pen and pen are clearly explained, and the skills are free; The whole seal style exudes elegance. The seal of "Wang" looks like the seal of Yuan Dynasty, with the word "Wang" in regular script on the top and the flower seal in the shape of pattern symbol on the bottom, which is ethereal and elegant and gratifying. This kind of yuan seal, with few strokes, is extremely difficult to imitate. Mr. Ye Shengtao can carve such a charm, which shows that his accomplishments are not shallow.

The attached picture shows Mr. Ye Shengtao's calligraphy works.
