With the rise of foreign forces in the Qing Dynasty, the wheel of history rolled forward, and no one could stop the trend of history.
Wang Duo was still a senior official in the Qing Dynasty, but Wang Duo was unhappy, shouldered the heavy stigma of "two ministers" and didn't trust the supreme ruler of the alien regime, so Wang Duo could only indulge in dogs and horses and immerse himself in painting and calligraphy. It is no accident that Wang Duo's calligraphy art can achieve such achievements.
China's calligraphy art has always held the view that "a book is like a character", but the level of calligraphy art cannot be equated with a character. For example, Zhao Mengfu's calligraphy made Fu Shan, another calligrapher in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties, look down on him very much. It was not until Fu Shan's later years that his views on Zhao Mengfu's calligraphy changed.

Wang Duo remained calm, calmly picked up a brush and threw it at the words on the plaque. Strangely, the brush is unbiased.
At 7 o'clock in the morning, I went to Wang Duo's former residence by bus. Wang Duo's former residence is not far from Luoyang central city, only 20 kilometers away.
? I arrived in Menghui Town at nine in the morning. I have been familiar with this road since I came here 20 1 1 years ago. At the crossroads with traffic lights in Menghui Town, I walked all the way to Wang Duo's former residence. Wang Duo's former residence is in the old town village, and the road leading to Wang Duo's former residence is not too wide. Last time I came, it was eight years ago, and today I came again. Great changes have taken place here, and the road is good. Far away, I saw four golden characters "Wang Duo's hometown" written on the high archway. After the archway, the road is half narrow. At this time, both sides of the road became residential houses. Knowing that it is not far from Wang Duo's former residence, I feel a little excited.
? In fact, there is an antique gatehouse opposite the Wang Duo Painting and Calligraphy Institute where I went on 20 1 1. I thought it was the real Wang Duo's former residence, Wang Duo's former residence, and I haven't been there. With vague memories, I came to the original Wang Duo Painting and Calligraphy Institute. I looked at the door of the carved beam and painted building opposite. On the plaque in the middle of the gate, there are three Chinese characters "Zai Zhi Yuan" written by Wang Duo. He pointed to the yard and said to me, "This is the former residence of Wang Duo". I walked in with a grain of salt, only to see a sign at the door saying "Free admission to the park", which was not the "Wang Duo's former residence" that needed tickets and annual travel tickets as seen in the TV promo.
When I walked in, the first thing I saw was a screen wall engraved with Wang Duo's cursive calligraphy. Bypassing the screen wall, I saw a lake about ten acres in size. There are many lotus flowers planted on the lake, only the lotus leaves are left. There are weeping willows by the lake. On the south side of the lake bank is a row of stone railings. The fountain in the center of the lake is spraying water, and the lake is paved with bluestones.
I walked out of the garden and used Tencent map to navigate. As a result, I navigated to a small gatehouse, which gave me the impression that this was "Wang Duo's former residence", but the gate was locked.
Not far from the gatehouse, there was an old man and an old woman chatting with a girl who looked like their granddaughter. I went up to the old man and asked him, "Master, where is Wang Duo's former residence?" As soon as my voice dropped, the girl next to me said, "This door is the door of Wang Duo's former residence".

The girl said, "This door is the back door of Wang Duo's former residence." Before the girl finished answering, the old woman spoke: "There is calligraphy in the south of the front door of Wang Duo's former residence, and the replanting garden is the back garden of Wang Duo's former residence.".
I asked the girl again, "How can I get to the main entrance of Wang Duo's former residence?"
She pointed to the road under her feet and said to me, "Go east along this road to the end, then turn right and there is a small bridge. Go ahead and you will find the front door of Wang Duo's former residence." .

On the west wall of the gate of Wang Duo's former residence, there are four golden characters "Wang Duo's former residence". The gatehouse is relatively tall, with three Chinese characters "Taibao House" written vertically on the plaque above, and two red lanterns hanging under the plaque.
Walking into the gate of Wang Duo's former residence, I took out my annual travel ticket and checked it. I walked into the yard. There is a room connected to the ticket gate. This is the front hall. I walked in. There is a portrait of Wang Duo with a beard hanging on the wall in the middle of the room, which is exactly the same as the portrait of Wang Duo I usually see in books. Below the portrait is a rectangular table with two plush chairs in front of it. There is a black vase at each end of the table, and yellow peach blossoms are inserted in the vase on the left. On the right of the portrait is a map of the places where Wang Duo has been. There is a piece of paper with a genealogy of Wang family on the west wall. Out of the front hall, read the introduction card, just know that the front hall is the place where servants live and rest, living next to the front door of Wang Duo's former residence, perhaps to guard their homes.
The courtyard just entering the gate is not big, with Xiyuan in the west, Zhunshan Garden on the right and Wujin Courtyard in the middle. The doors in these three places are full moon doors, and the houses are all gray walls, gray tiles and red wooden doors. Should they belong to the architectural style of Ming and Qing Dynasties? .
I came to Zhunshan Garden first. This garden is not big. It was already dark when I entered the room. The wooden cabinets on the surrounding walls are next to this row of glass doors, and there are more than 100 original stone tablets of "Zhunshan Garden Post". Zhunshan Garden Post is one of the famous posts in Wang Duo. All I saw before were printed copies. This is the real stone carving of the original post, which is precious.
Come out of Zhunshan Garden and walk into the yard. On both sides of the courtyard are the East Wing and the West Wing, which are places where children in Wang Duo study. On the wall of the west wing is Wang Duo's introduction. On the wall of the East Wing, famous calligraphers including modern calligraphers' comments on Wang Duo's calligraphy art are hung.
To the north is the living room, where Wang Duo meets ordinary officials, and the surrounding walls are also stone carvings of Wang Duo's calligraphy. Go through the living room door and enter Sanjin yard. There are still east and west wing rooms on both sides, where Wang Duo's third son and fourth son live. The nave leading to the Second Hospital is the place where Wang Duo meets important officials. Then go north and enter Jin Si Yard through the door of the nave. The East Wing and the West Wing here are the places where Wang Duo's eldest son and second son live respectively, while the West Wing displays Wang Duo's paintings. Besides calligraphy, Wang Duo's landscape paintings in Wang Duo are also famous. In the middle of the north side of the courtyard is the patio, where Wang Duo lives and studies calligraphy and painting. Now is the place where painters paint, and the walls are covered with Wang Duo's calligraphy rubbings.
? When I got here, I thought Wang Duo's former residence had been completed, but I walked through the next aisle and then went into the yard, which was not connected with the front patio. On both sides of the yard are the Xiulou where Wang Duo's daughter lives, and finally the building where Wang Duo's parents live. There is a picture hanging on the central wall of the building, next to a couplet written by Wang Duo, with a rectangular table and four chairs in front. There is a big vase on each side of the table, next to it. It is also a two-story building. According to the sign at the door, relatives live upstairs and Wang Duo's parents live on the first floor.
? The residence of Wang Duo's former residence has a sequence to follow, and it is also stipulated by the etiquette system of feudal society. The architectural style is unified, with gray brick walls and gray tiles, red purlins and red lanterns hanging under the eaves. After visiting the residence of Wang Duo's former residence, I simply walked around the West Garden, which is just a small garden with nothing else. I don't know anything about ancient architecture in China, and I can't tell you why. I only know that ancient architecture in China is also an art, and each era has its own characteristics and styles, which is also very worthy of appreciation.
After visiting Wang Duo's former residence, it is almost eleven o'clock at noon. Today, I saw the rubbings and stone carvings of Wang Duo's calligraphy, and I felt very rewarding. I will have a lot of insights and inspirations for those who study the calligraphy of Wang Duo and Rainbow Tudor. As a calligraphy lover, I should still come here to have a look.
