The Use and Collection of Gu Yan

Gu Yan's use and collection are very exquisite, otherwise one party, Gu Yan, was destroyed by his own hands, and it would be of no help to regret it at that time.

The purpose of inkstone:

1, clean water should be used for grinding ink to avoid using sewage.

2, ink must use good ink, sticky ink is easy to hurt the inkstone.

3. When grinding ink, hold Mo Ding with your thumb, forefinger and middle finger. Mo Ding is perpendicular to Motang, and slowly rotate and grind by wrist force. Re-grinding is easy to hurt the inkstone.

4. The inkstone hall is often covered with ink, or the leftover Su Mo is preserved, which will affect the stone quality of inkstone. Therefore, the inkstone should be washed immediately after use, and it should be washed lightly and with soft materials.

Inkstone collection:

(1) When the inkstone is placed on the desk in front of the window, attention should be paid to avoid direct sunlight, otherwise the inkstone box will be exposed to the sun for too long, and the lid will easily crack.

(2) The inkstone should not be placed in a dry place, so as to avoid the inkstone losing moisture and the original advantages of grinding ink.

(2) When enjoying Gu Yan, the desktop should be covered with felt, and the inkstone body should not contact with glass or metal objects, and the two inkstones should not overlap.

(4) The cover of the wooden inkstone box should be coated with several layers to prevent the ink from evaporating and make the inkstone box expand over time. Ink cartridges should be waxed regularly to keep luster and prevent moisture from invading.

⑤ Gu Yan should not be used for many purposes, and should be cleaned immediately after use. When washing Gu Yan, be careful not to damage the patina on the four sides of the inkstone and the back of the inkstone (antiquities have been rubbed and played with for a long time, resulting in luster), so as to avoid Gu Yan losing its quaint features. Usually you can apply peach oil, and the effect is good.

Attachment: Learning stationery

In addition to the four treasures of pen, ink, paper and inkstone, there are many accessories in the study, such as pen container and water bowl, which are essential. There are many kinds of stationery, and the common ones are as follows:

Pen container: The cylinders used to hold pens are mostly made of bamboo, which are generally well-made and beautifully designed. Putting the pen in the barrel can avoid messy nib and facilitate access at any time.

Paperweight: Stationery, also known as paperweight, paperweight and paperweight, is made of copper, iron or jade, agate, crystal and ceramics. Generally, it is made of copper, shaped like a copper ruler, with figures, landscapes, flowers and birds, celebrity calligraphy and so on engraved on it. It can also be used as an appreciation.

Ancient copper paperweights, such as green toad shape, green crouching tiger shape and lying horse shape, are all early forms. Jade is a rising star, with the shape of a dog, a sleeping beetle, a rabbit, a cow, a horse, a deer, a sheep and a toad. The spots on the animal's back are like ink, and the color is like tortoise shell, which is simple and lovely. When writing or reading, books or papers can be prevented from being overturned by the wind.

Pen holder: also known as pen mountain and pen grid, there are all kinds of stationery for holding pens, including jade, copper and porcelain, each with various styles and colors. It makes writers and painters stop writing temporarily, so as not to get their pens dirty on the desktop.

Handrail: refers to the stationery used to support the elbow when writing, which can prevent the wrist from touching the handwriting and defacing the paper.

Plate box: plates should be used when printing. The box containing ink is called Indy Box, which is also a regular tool in the study room.

Ink drop: also known as water injection. Stationery is used to hold water. When grinding ink, it drips. You can drop water into the inkstone to grind ink.

Imitation of circle: when copying calligraphy, make the face paper closely contact with the base book and flatten the paper on it. Yin Gui: Stationery in a fixed position during stamp printing is generally made of small hard wood chips about 0.5cm thick, sawed into squares, polished and painted. When in use, the seal is used to specify the position, and the seal is close to the inner edge of the square, so that the seal made by the square can be straight and will not be skewed.

There are so many names of stationery that it is difficult to list them one by one. Generally speaking, stationery is made of jade, crystal, ivory, bamboo, wood, ceramics and various metals. The production of stationery is unique, such as toad-shaped inkstone and bird-shaped pen, which are extremely luxurious and exquisite, or simple and elegant. In addition to reading and writing, the ancients also played with it, which can increase elegance, inspire talents and make people happy.
