Reading is not to complete tasks, nor to kill time, but to learn useful knowledge from books and use it for me.
Recently, I made a theme reading about reading, and combined with my own practice, I recommend a very simple and effective reading method to you, so that you can learn real knowledge while saving time. Please take a few minutes to have a good look. It will really help! After mastering this skill, you can finish reading a book in 1-3 hours and gain something.
So how to read a book efficiently?
Preparation before reading.
1 book
2. Pen (preferably highlighter)
3. Notebook (or A4 paper)
4. Choose a book. Choose a book you want to read. What you like or need is not a novel, but a book of practical theory, which is more suitable for reading like this! Get a pen and notebook ready and you can start reading!
After making the above preparations, enter the reading. Sit down at your desk and find a more comfortable posture. 5- 10 minute preview to learn about the author and his works, the cover, preface, introduction, catalogue and pictures in the book. Understand the overall situation of the book, understand what the author wants to express, what he wants to tell you, and how he intends to tell you.
In this step, the preview of 5- 10 minutes is very important. Just like when we visit the park, we must first look at the guide map, find what we are interested in or need, confirm this and tell our brains. In the later reading, you can concentrate.
According to the thickness of the book, it takes 5~ 10 minutes to browse the whole book, that is, browsing page by page, with each page staying 1-2 seconds. If there is no more, just glance at it, most of them are the key words of the book!
Pay attention to chapter titles, subheadings, bold or other special marks, and some concluding sentences, such as the first sentence of each paragraph or the last sentence of the full text.
Use the remaining 45-50 minutes to skip quickly and mark unfamiliar concept words, keywords, opinions, etc. While reading, mark the places that need to be extracted or thought. Open your eyes, far away! Don't just stare at the words, always run through the book and connect the "pearls" like a needle.
The key to skipping is to limit the time and mark it with a highlighter. Limiting time can force you to concentrate and not be distracted. Using highlighter to mark key words, unfamiliar concept words and key sentences can grasp the "pearl" of the book.
There are many methods of intensive reading, and I recommend the following three, all of which I have been using. The best way to read is to write "writing is the best way to read" /p/f92ae29f488b, that is, output. These three methods, especially the latter two, are the best output.
1, copy method.
After reading the book, don't throw it away at once. It's not over yet. Extract the title, author, publisher, classification, score, reading date, keywords, opinions and important examples (facts). Write your own understanding, feelings and actions while extracting. When you are doing excerpts, you actually reviewed the book again, which will make you more impressed.
The purpose of reading is to apply what you have learned.
2. Post-it notes reading method.
Zhao Zhou, the leader of the book dismantling gang, expounded a good reading method in the book "Reading in this way is enough". After reading a practical book with post-it notes, 30 yuan can achieve the effect of participating in 30,000 yuan training, which is the most economical way to improve her workplace ability.
Take three kinds of notes with three different colors.
The first disassembly (I) is to restate knowledge in one's own language;
The second disassembly (A 1), describing your own relevant experience;
How to apply the third disassembly (A2) in the future?
When you read with post-it notes, you will become an advanced learner, and you can become your own folio. At this time, you can take out any useful book, open any page, and you can quickly enter the I link, consciously guide it out, and give yourself an A.
If you read with post-it notes, you'd better attend the offline book opening meeting, and under the guidance of the guide, you can understand the essence of the book.
3. Feynman technology.
What should Feynman technology do? As far as I know, it's actually very simple, but it's not worse than the directory learning method mentioned by Warhawk on his blog:
1, Elaboration: Pick out the key points in the learning process, and elaborate and record the key points according to your original knowledge.
2. Proofreading: compare your own statement with the data, understand the different places, and absorb the same.
3. Repetition: Expounding and comparing important materials repeatedly, so as to achieve a deep understanding.
Process: first determine the goal of what you want to learn, then start to be a teacher (pen simulation, multi-sensory participation), then write this thing out succinctly and fluently in your own words (elaboration), and finally, if you get stuck, go back to the inquiry materials and continue to learn the contents of the card (proofreading), and so on until you can say all the contents in your own words (write them down), jump out of the loop and finish teaching others (yourself).
Mind mapping is a very good tool, which can read books from thick to thin, facilitate the search for information and facilitate the management and output of knowledge.
Let me briefly talk about the steps of mind mapping:
1, determine the central image, usually with the cover of the book as the central image.
2. Determine the first-level keywords. Note: keywords at the same level must be "parallel and mutually exclusive".
3. Determine the secondary keywords. And so on.
