Chen Yungao (1877~1965), also known as Zilun, also known as Zilun, Huangzi, and his nickname was Zinglu. A native of Yizhou, Zhili. In the 29th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (1903), he became a Jinshi, a member of the Guimao Imperial Academy, and was awarded the title of editor of the Imperial Academy. In the third year of Xuantong's reign, he served as a councilor of the Bideyuan of the Yikuang Cabinet. In 1951, he was employed by the Central Research Institute of Literature and History as the first librarian. Member of the Beijing Municipal People's Political Consultative Conference. He specializes in calligraphy, literature, history, poetry, etc., and is especially good at calligraphy. In 1956, he established the Chinese Calligraphy Research Society with Zhang Boju, Pu Xuezhai, Zheng Songxian, Guo Fenghui, Zhang Shizhao and other Chinese masters, and served as the president himself. The calligraphy club has trained and educated calligraphers and painters of the younger generations such as Qi Gong, Shen Peng, Liu Bingsen, Wang Xuetao, and Wang Kunlun, and has made great contributions to the development of calligraphy art in my country. His representative works mainly include the couplets at Du Fu Thatched Cottage in Chengdu and the plaque for Sanxi Hall in Beihai Park.
