Introduction to the contents of the Seal Script Dictionary

The characters included in the "Seal Script Dictionary" are in principle commonly used Chinese characters. Some characters that are not commonly used but appear more often in inscriptions will also be included in green as appropriate. The characters included in the "Seal Script Dictionary" are arranged in the order of dynasty and month. For those whose birth and death dates are unknown, in principle, they are ranked last in syllable order. Due to the need for layout arrangement, the order of arrangement of individual writers of the same dynasty may be inconsistent. Since the "Big Dictionary of Seal Script" is a calligraphy reference book, in order to obtain the true appearance of calligraphy, the characters selected in "The Big Dictionary of Seal Script" are as close to the spirit of the original work as possible, and are generally not technically modified to maintain the original appearance of the original work.
