Wei Yajie, born in Xiaomei Town, Longquan, northern Fujian, is a provincial-level arts and crafts artist and the inheritor of Jiulong Kiln. As can be seen from his stage name, Master Wei is not only a ceramic artist, but also a calligraphy lover and tea drinker.
Many years ago, Master Wei became attached to ceramics at the World Ceramics Expo held in Longquan. Later, he got to know China ceramic master Chen Xianlin, and they began to repair the Jiulong Kiln with a history of more than 900 years. The dangerous master who likes to deal with the land and thinks that "everything in the world is born in the soil and belongs to the dust" began to deal with mud.
