Before seeing Zheng Rui's works, I urge to write a preface for him. Only when I saw his works did I know that I was a layman and didn't know the depth. Water under the bridge. I have to bite the bullet and write a few words.

Mingrui's gift, Zheng Rui, was born in a beautiful year. From the hometown of Zhang Zhi, the birthplace of Chinese civilization, to the ancient Majiayao, the characters in Qin and Han Dynasties have reached the highest level, and calligraphy theory's interpretation has also begun. Even the appearance of Dunhuang Scriptures has had a great impact on the development of China's calligraphy. Nowadays, there are many newcomers in Gansu, and tradition and creation are integrated. Behind Zheng Rui's works, it seems to convey the pace of historical progress.

Zheng Rui has a solid foundation in cursive writing. Traditional calligraphy is quite accomplished, such as Cao Zhang, bamboo and silk, Oracle Bone Inscriptions, etc. It is effective in imitating the model, seeing its breadth, studying exquisite thinking, creating and being able to code, and forming its own style. At the end of the ugly year, Zheng Rui carefully created the long scrolls "Snow Peak Map" and "Biography of Flowers and Birds in Daiwan" written by Luo. Luo Zhenyu (Tang Xue) was a beginner in the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China. He is knowledgeable and outstanding in instruments. He sorted out a large number of bronzes, Oracle Bone Inscriptions, bamboo slips, funerary wares and lost articles, and was good at identification and calligraphy. These two articles are lessons from ancient paintings. They are short, pithy and knowledgeable. Therefore, it is necessary to say a few words about the founder of "Luo Wangxue". Because of the articles written by Zheng Ruishu, he must have his own understanding of the current craze in order to speak freely and breathe freely in his writing. "Book Outline" said: "Cursive writing is particularly important, and it is still dangerous to cover grass. Everything that is dangerous is easy to overthrow and does not need strong ridicule to consolidate. " Zheng Rui's cursive script is refreshing, powerful and well organized. But "danger" is not bumpy, scattered in density, good at childish and elegant, tall and straight and elegant, flying prose is deep and restrained, so it is cultivated, it is clear and vigorous.

In the final analysis, lines constitute the art of calligraphy and painting, and the basic skill of calligraphy is to understand and apply the changes of China's artistic language-lines. Its shape, rhyme and emotion are particularly clear in cursive script, which "takes shape deterioration and stippling as emotion". Therefore, we can appreciate Zheng Rui's works. The lines are thick and round, the style is quite natural, and the realm is quiet and profound.

At the moment when calligraphy was in full swing, Zheng Rui was not obscured by the material desires of the times, but made continuous progress and chose his own path sincerely and cautiously.

Reading Zheng Rui's works, I also see an expectation-the result is the accumulation of time, and the future is in his hands.
