Who is Yan Jiekuang?
Yan Jiekuang, known as Shao Fu, was a famous politician, writer and calligrapher in the Qing Dynasty, and a reformer appointed in the late Qing Dynasty. Born in Xuanhe period of Qing Dynasty, his ancestral home was Meizhou, Guangdong Province, and he served as the governor of Henan Province and Hubei Province. Yan Jiekuang, with his outstanding political talent, formulated a series of reform measures, reformed the financial, military and educational systems, and made great contributions to China society after the demise of the Qing Dynasty.
