Precautions for saving brushes
First of all, write a good pen
When opening the newly bought brush, in order to let the nib spread out, it is necessary to soak the nib in warm water for a few minutes. Never use boiling water with too high a temperature to avoid scalding the nib.
Moreover, the soaking time should not be too long, just let the nib open completely, and don't melt the gum of the brush root, otherwise it will become a brush. If the pen tip is not open, you can gently pinch it open by hand. Of course, violent operation is not allowed. After this work is finished, just wash the glue and you can start using it.
Second, manage a pen well
Writing brush is a necessary work before writing. You can't write with ink as soon as you get it. Be sure to soak the pen in clear water first, not for a long time to avoid gel at the root of the pen. Soak the nib with water, and then hang the pen upside down until the nib recovers its toughness, which takes about ten minutes.
Then write with ink, but the amount of ink should not be too much or too little, just the right amount. Because if you write too much, you will leave ink balls, and you will be very tired, which will affect your practice. Too little will make it difficult to transport the pen, and finally it will be easy to break the ink.
Third, wash the pen.
After writing, the ink on the pen should be cleaned, and so should the Lian Bi root. Because ink has colloid, if it is not washed off, the pen will stick firmly with ink and colloid after drying, which is easy to damage the brush. Therefore, when the ink dries, the pen tip will become hard, and the pen tip will be easily damaged. If you don't wash it for a long time, it will be easily destroyed.
Or, after writing, you can continue to dip in water, continue to write casually on the paper, and use up the remaining ink in the pen. Doing so can kill two birds with one stone by washing the pen during writing. For how to wash the brush, you can generally find a container of suitable size, like those unwanted beverage bottles, and soak the pen in it for dozens of seconds before cleaning.
Doing so can fully melt the ink inside. But be careful not to use it for too long, it is easy to melt the glue stuck to the nib, and the pen tube is easy to absorb water and crack.
