Xiamen Botanical Garden is located on Shiwan in the southeast corner of Xiamen, with beautiful scenery and rich vegetation. This is a building that meets the needs of scientific research and tourism.
The carefully designed botanical garden around Shiwan Lake has more than 20 characteristic gardens and planting areas, including pine garden, palm island, rose garden, introduction and domestication area, medicinal botanical garden, succulent plant area and orchid garden.
By the end of June, 199 1 had introduced more than 4,000 species of tropical and subtropical garden plants, including Metasequoia glyptostroboides, Ginkgo biloba, China Golden Pine, Japanese Golden Pine and Phoebe bournei, as well as precious cacti and exotic flowers and trees.

Here is the national hero Zheng Chenggong, who lured and killed Zheng Lian, who was entrenched in Xiamen, and seized the "lock cloud" stone of the military power, as well as Zheng Chenggong's reading office and his military camp. There are stone chambers and rock fishing written by Chen An, the ancestor of the Tang Dynasty who opened the summer, and the "holy spring" where young masters in the Southern Song Dynasty drank spring water when crossing the mansion.
There are more than 400 cliff carvings in Mo Bao, which were started on 1982 and completed on 1988, including Sha Menghai, Fei Xinwo, Lai Shaoqi, Liu Haisu, Yu Yu, Rodin in Xiamen, Liang Piyun in Macau, Japanese Snow Mountain, etc., forming a new forest of steles and adding new cultural connotations to Shiwan.
