According to the handheld college entrance examination, in 2023, the minimum admission scores for Henan undergraduate students were 599 for science and 592 for liberal arts. The Central Academy of Fine Arts is the only art college directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC). At present, there are 15 professional departments, such as China Painting and Calligraphy Institute, Oil Painting Department, Printmaking Department, Sculpture Department, Mural Painting Department, Basic Department of Modeling Discipline, College of Experimental Art and Science and Technology, Humanities College, School of Design, School of Architecture, School of Urban Design, School of Art Management and Education, School of Art and Design Management (China-France) and School of Restoration, and there are also graduate schools, continuing education colleges and affiliated secondary art schools.
