How to practice hard-pen regular script

Before talking about how to practice calligraphy, we should first distinguish two concepts, one is calligraphy and the other is writing. I am a writer, not a calligraphy lover. And I can only write regular script. To tell the truth, I don't like calligraphy, and I don't want to delve into it. But I have a strong interest in writing and tireless pursuit. Writing is simply writing well. This "good-looking" refers to the simple aesthetics of Chinese character structure and strokes. Calligraphy contains a wide range of concepts, including the emotional artistic conception of structured calligraphy works, the adaptation of various ancient laws and even the surrounding culture. I don't understand these things, and what I'm going to talk about next has nothing to do with it.

Let's talk about several necessary conditions for writing.

First of all, the first is interest. This interest is not about three minutes of heat. Seeing someone write well will tickle my heart and I want to pick up a pen and try. This kind of enthusiasm can be regarded as the origin of a hobby, but it is impossible to make great progress by itself. When I say interest, I mean my high recognition and high desire to write beautifully. Since you want to practice calligraphy, you should regard it as a part of your life. You don't have to spend a lot of time writing every day. You can not write a word for a week or a month, but it is always in your mind. In your spare time, you will go online to find beautiful words to enjoy. When you see a handwritten sign on the road, you will look at it more than others, just like a hot-blooded guy's attitude towards AV.

Secondly, you need to have an IQ not lower than that of ordinary people, and have the most basic aesthetic, imitation, imagination, patience and self-adjustment ability. These abilities must be possessed, but not necessarily high. Because writing ability is not as high as super brain. Of course, the higher the better, the higher the level of practice.

With these two foundations, we can start.

Writing is different from learning a new skill. We use driving as an analogy. Most people never touch the steering wheel when they go to a driving school to learn to drive. This is a blank sheet of paper. You do what the coach tells you. Practice makes perfect more than ten times. But writing is different. Before practicing writing, everyone has their own habits and cognition. And these habits and cognition are the biggest enemy of your good handwriting. When untrained people write, they basically aim at "explaining clearly". The previous stroke is catching up with the next stroke, and the other stroke is probably in this position. When it is finished, people can recognize the word. Never thought about how to beautify this word. This habit has solidified for a long time, but when I want to write slowly, I find that I can't do it at all. The words written slowly in strokes are not as beautiful as those drawn by yourself. Because of decades of writing career, you have missed too many things. You might say, then I'll make it up quickly. But those things have been occupied there for a long time. This is what I call the number one natural enemy. You must get rid of them. You should learn to vent yourself. Never try to improve on your original habits and basis. That's in vain. Because no book just develops with your habits. A well-written word looks good because it subverts those things. Zhang Sanfeng knew nothing about Tai Ji Chuan and kept asking, Have you forgotten? Have you forgotten your original kung fu? Mowgli began to say, no! Then I said, I don't remember! Slowly, he said, master, I completely forgot. Zhang Sanfeng then smiled: Then you are.

"I can't write. This word is the first time I have seen it. I can't write at all. " When you start practicing a word, you should always say it to yourself.

Correct a misunderstanding: practice writing well, practice more and write more. If you don't write too much, you write well. If so, will the handwriting of the elderly be better than that of the young? Writing for decades is nothing more than consolidating your mistakes. To practice calligraphy well, you should read more, think more and experience more. I'll tell you another little story. Two darts players are going to take part in a competition. A has enough time to practice before the game, but B doesn't. He has to catch a plane or something, so B simulates the training game scene in his mind, imagining the soft and decisive feeling of shooting, imagining the aiming method, his standing posture and so on. A prepares for the competition with physical training, and B trains the competition with imagination. As a result, their grades are the same. This short story illustrates a truth. Your thinking and experience on this matter is no worse than diligent practice. Modern people, especially urban wage earners, have a fast pace of life and don't have much time to calm down and practice calligraphy. You can use the time waiting in the subway, waiting in line, moving your fingers and imagining how to write some words well. If you visit an ancient town and see many plaques and couplets, people will take pictures and read these words. Huh? This word can be written like this. . . This direction and angle are really comfortable. . . This vertical line should be slightly left to look good. . . These experiences will help your calligraphy advance by leaps and bounds.

Then, face your own personality. There is an old saying, words are like people. An introverted person is handsome, active in writing and clever in writing. This sounds like a compliment, but it's actually a derogatory one. You should overcome the limitation and influence of personality on your words. If you are really conservative, you should have enough courage to break through when writing. Chinese characters look good, not every writer is called good-looking. The aesthetic feeling of Chinese characters comes from many aspects. When it needs to be neat, it must be neat. For example, when it is arranged together, it must be untidy. For example, when the right side of the left and right structure is heavy, the knife is folded and next to the ear. When practicing, don't be afraid to write badly. Many people dare not write, dare not stretch, dare not open, afraid that once written, they will be ugly, so they shrink back, even if the ugliness is not obvious. This is limited by your own personality. Just try it boldly. What does it matter if it is ugly? If it is too long, you will know the next word to take back. Writing is a process of experience, trial and comparison. If you dare not break through and change, how can you improve? Similarly, people who are impatient and arrogant should pay attention to what must be rigorous and neat when practicing, calm down and be as fine as embroidery, and explain every short and horizontal point clearly.

To write a good hand, we must do two things well, one is called structure (called knot word in calligraphy) and the other is called brushwork. Many people think their handwriting is not good-looking because they don't have a pen. So when writing horizontally and vertically, I pay special attention to using a pen. This is also a misunderstanding. Why is the word nib called feng? Feng is very sharp. You point it out, hang the needle and point it out, which is the pen tip. In my opinion, when practicing good calligraphy, structure is much more important than brush strokes. We must focus on the structure, which is a challenge to your talent, sense of spatial layout, your aesthetics, your ability to correct mistakes, your mentality and your imagination. The matter of carrying a pen is nothing more than priorities. You can write it if you write more. People who are really good at writing are good at structure. No one said that because the pen is well written, the words look good. So you should carefully study how the words and structures you want to imitate are arranged. This is a single word, vertical and long, this is the left and right structure, this is the upper and lower structure, semi-closed, and various structural changes. How do teachers and seniors handle it? There are many words, and I have a problem that I can't write well from birth. What will they do at this time? Is it difficult to make do with it, or simply rewrite it (such as variant characters)?

In the process of writing, you will encounter a lot of progress and bottlenecks, which is normal. There is no bottleneck, but it is not normal. Because you didn't know how to practice handwriting before, and you didn't know how to write good handwriting. Now that you know that you have a model, you can write whatever you like, and it will definitely improve quickly. But soon you will find that you can't make progress, because your aesthetics have improved and your ability has not kept up. Like anything, first you have to know how to do it, and then you have to do it. I always thought "knowing how to do it" was more important. This bottleneck is a good thing, indicating that you are making progress. Once you "understand", you will find that you are on a new platform immediately. The length of this bottleneck depends on your own talent and hard work.

Next, I will talk about some tips that should be paid attention to when writing.

I summed up three words: first, decisive. Let's take driving as an example If you are ready to hit the road, just put on the gear and step on the accelerator. Don't hesitate to step on it. The car in front is still far away, so you step on the brakes. I found it unnecessary when I stepped on it. Add more oil. This car is not driving well, and it is not good to write a stroke. Although every stroke is fast and slow, it must not be fast or slow. Think clearly, this oblique hook is from here to there, just write it once. You can't hesitate whether it is too lying or too straight in the middle of writing, and then correct it. This is just like the rookie driving mentioned above. I can't write it once, then twice and ten times until you feel more and more. Second, be gentle. The most comfortable driving is to accelerate and decelerate evenly, even in a row. Don't stop, start slowly and stop slowly. When you do anything, you should not use a stiff and tense posture to exert yourself. Only by relaxing and softening can we do it well. Third, and most importantly, slow down. I don't know if you have seen a movie, fried rice with eggs played by Bo Huang. His father wants to pass on the unique skills of fried rice with eggs to him. Hot-blooded Bo Huang thinks this is not a side dish. Chopping chopped green onion and beating eggs are as crisp and neat as hotel chefs, and they are extravagant and particularly awesome. His father said, son, take your time and do things slowly. Similarly, you should write slowly. As long as you slow down and think about your previous strokes and the part behind the layout, you can make the force clear and the details clear. Basic skills depend on slow experience and accumulation, rather than thinking about being quick and good.

Tian Yingzhang, the first person in China to write regular script, and Zhang Yun, his brother, have practiced to this state today. When they were young, their father taught them that before the age of 40, they were only allowed to write regular script. So now we can see at most the running script they wrote, no running script and no cursive script. But their regular script is impeccable. This is the basic skill. The in-depth experience and understanding of the structure of Chinese characters and the perfect use of strokes all come from the support of profound basic skills. At this time, we will change it, simplify it, turn the square into a circle, and it will come naturally.

Finally, the least important thing, tools.

Now, most people write with gel pens. The principle of gel pen is different from that of pen, but I will find gel pen more beautiful after writing it down. There are many gel pen masters on the Internet, and my mentor and friend Zhao Hexin is one of them. He has many videos of gel pens on the Internet. You can look for them. Jing Xiao Peng, Tian Yingzhang's close disciple, is also one of them. These are all masters whom I admire and respect very much. (Although there are many words that I think I can't write at all, haha), gel pens are not like pens, and the most expensive ones are only a dozen dollars. Unless you add some gimmicks, anti-fatigue and the like may cost tens or hundreds of dollars. Of course, you can ask Tiffany for tens of thousands of diamonds. But thanks to modern technology (Japan), the technology of gel pen tip is very mature. I used Chen Guang P 1 1 15' s 0.7, a few dollars each, Taobao is a lot. Pens, like watches, will eventually become luxuries and decorations. What flower, bird, dragon and rhinoceros water is so expensive, the signature is appropriate, but there is no advantage in practicing calligraphy. On the contrary, I think it's too thick to write. Lamy is very popular now. I tried a few, but it was not easy. To use a pen, I also use the oldest hero 6 16, which is also a few dollars each. Hard pen calligraphy is the definition of pen calligraphy by proletarian revolutionaries of the older generation headed by Pang Zhonghua. In fact, gel pens are easier to write good words than pens. Moreover, the handwriting is easy to store and does not need ink absorption and maintenance.

Go to Taobao to buy some Mi Zige, A4, 16 can be opened, a piece of paper is about 150, and there is not much money to buy a few knives. In contrast, the thicker the paper, the better. You can try several kinds and find what you like. In fact, there is little difference, and it is basically the same for lovers who have not reached a level. You can start practicing calligraphy for tens of dollars, which is much cheaper than learning to shoot at the piano. Try to stay calm when you are practicing calligraphy. If you are thinking about the meeting tomorrow morning, or have just had a quarrel with your girlfriend, don't toss about.

The last point: it doesn't matter what words you practice. Don't think that you must practice from strokes first, from simple words and single words first. It's not necessary. Practice as much as you want. If you like, you can copy the Heart Sutra, or write ancient poems, love letters and letters of guarantee. You can't practice all Chinese characters. This thing is originally a test of mastery. You have mastered all kinds of structures, strokes and stroke combinations (such as left-handed and right-handed, left-handed and left-handed), and you can't type any words.
