Hou Yongjun is a young and middle-aged master of seal cutting. The difference is that he is good at calligraphy, Chinese painting, collection, identification and theoretical research besides seal cutting creation. Especially in the past ten years, he has been paying attention to the "application for heritage" project of seal cutting and has written a series of articles to promote it. In other words, seal cutting can successfully apply for World Heritage, including Hou Yong's contribution. More than 65,438+000 seal cutting works on display today are the concentrated displays of Hou Yong's research for nearly 30 years, including Chinese seals and portrait seals that he is good at, as well as his favorite bird seals and Oracle Bone Inscriptions seals. Hou Yong's printmaking also has many remarkable points. Such as Selected Buddhist Statues, Hundreds of Dogs and Monkeys, Portraits of Famous Patriotic Democrats, Selected Portraits of Anti-Japanese Celebrities and other large-scale group prints left a deep impression on the audience.
Looking at Hou Yong's seal cutting works, it shows his simple, simple and bold artistic style. It is hoped that Hou Yongjun will learn from others in the future art road, create more excellent works and make more contributions to the cause of seal cutting in Jiangsu.

Hou Yong, whose real name is Yong Jun, was born in Bechilising and grew up in Jinling, Jiangnan. At present, he is a national first-class artist, dean of Nanjing Jieruixuan Painting and Calligraphy Institute, curator of Suzhou Seal Cutting Collection, vice chairman of China Poetry and Calligraphy Union, director of China Painters Association, director of China Portrait Seal Cutting Research Association, director of China International Writers and Artists Association, etc.
