"Benevolence, courtesy, wisdom, loyalty, filial piety, forgiveness and courage" refers to the core of Confucianism.

Benevolence: Confucius regards benevolence as the highest moral principle, moral standard and moral realm.

Righteousness: Confucius first proposed righteousness. Mencius further elaborated on "righteousness". He believes that both "faith" and "fruit" must be based on "righteousness". They regard "righteousness" as one of the highest moral standards of Confucianism.

Rites: Social norms and moral norms in ancient China. Zi chan, a politician in the Spring and Autumn Period, first regarded "ceremony" as the norm of people's behavior. Confucius also demanded that people's words and deeds conform to etiquette. This "ceremony" not only refers to the etiquette and ceremony of Zhou Li, but also refers to people's moral norms.

Wisdom: namely wisdom, cleverness, talent and intelligence. Confucius believes that only the wise can realize that "benevolence" is beneficial to them and implement it. Confucianism regards "wisdom" as one of the important conditions to realize its highest moral principle "benevolence"

The ethical category of confucianism. It means honest, trustworthy and not hypocritical. "Faith" is not only one of the important conditions for Confucianism to realize the moral principle of "benevolence", but also one of its moral cultivation contents.

Loyalty: Confucian moral standard. Confucius said "loyalty" refers to the relationship with others, and trying to help others is called "loyalty".

The ethical category of confucianism. Mainly refers to the respect for parents, good parents. Confucianism believes that filial piety is the most fundamental of all kinds of morality.
