Who paints horses best in China?

There is a painter in Shandong, Zhang Leyi, who paints very well. It can be said that Zhang Leyi, a famous contemporary horse painter, was born in Jinan, Shandong Province in 1952 and graduated from Berlin Academy of Fine Arts in 1995. He is currently a professor at the Art College of Shandong University, a visiting professor at Milan Academy of Fine Arts, a member of Shandong Artists Association, a member of China Artists Association and a senior painter at Shandong Painting Academy.

His works are solid in technique and fluent in pen and ink, involving animals, flowers and birds, landscapes, figures, especially horses. They are well-known at home and abroad and are called "shepherds in paintings". The work Spring Rain was collected by the University of Freiburg in Germany on 1988. The work "Green Shade" was collected by stara Exhibition Center in the same year; 1990, the giant Chinese painting "Asian Hero" was hung in the venue of the 1 1 Asian Games in China, and was later collected by the Recreation Palace of the Asian Games Village. The work "A Long History" was collected by the German government of konstanz in 1993. 1994, Changfeng Wan Li was made into a "Christmas card" by German Harder Publishing House. From 1988 to 1998, he held many solo exhibitions in China, Japan, Germany and France, and taught at Milan Academy of Fine Arts. CCTV, Shandong TV, German (CDF) TV 2, German-Chinese Cultural Exchange Pictorial, Nande Art Magazine, People's Daily, China Pictorial and many other domestic and foreign news media all made special presentations.
