Dong Qichang (1555 February 10—1636 June 5438+00 October 26th) was born in Huating, Songjiang (now Shanghai). Minister and painter in late Ming Dynasty. As Li Zhimin said, "We advocate learning from the past and seeking change, but we are more superstitious about the charm of calligraphy than the ancients".

Dong Qichang is good at landscape painting. He studied under Dong Yuan, Huang and Ni Zan, and his brushwork is delicate, moist, serene and ethereal. Clean and bright with ink fragrance, gentle and plain. Green, simple and generous. He is an outstanding representative of Huating School of Painting and has the beauty of "Yan Gu Zhao Zi".

His calligraphy structure is naive, beautiful and elegant. Hundreds of years later, Zhao Meng's charming and mature "Song Xue Style" ruled the book world, and he found a new way to rule a generation. His landscape paintings are unique and vivid, with special emphasis on the skills of using ink. Ink painting is good at splashing ink and cherishing ink. Dark and dry, natural and harmonious, with little pen and ink, but far-reaching artistic conception and endless charm. His creation has become a model for literati painting to pursue artistic conception.
