Course overview

China is the hometown of tea and the birthplace of tea culture. Tea culture is an important part of China's excellent traditional culture and a bright pearl of China's characteristic industries. This course is based on the research of Chinese traditional tea culture and modern tea science, and brings together high-quality resources in and out of the school to fully explain the cultural connotation and health preservation value of tea. The course covers the origin, category, tasting, tea custom, tea ceremony, literature and art, the development history of tea culture, scientific tea drinking, tea health care effect and so on. Talking about the past, from the shallow to the deep, taking tea culture and tea health as the breakthrough point is of great significance to carry forward excellent tea culture, expand students' knowledge, enhance humanistic quality and enhance cultural self-confidence. At the same time, integrating tea art practice, world tea culture and other contents into the course will enhance students' understanding of China's characteristic tea industry, thus enriching their understanding of tea culture and their sensitivity to the tea industry, which will play a good role in promoting innovation and entrepreneurship practice based on traditional culture and industry.

Teaching objectives

Through the study of this course, students can understand Chinese traditional tea culture and modern tea science in China, and deepen their understanding of the strategic significance of tea to the development of "Belt and Road" in China; Understand the origin, biological characteristics, processing technology, tea industry status and health status of tea, understand the relationship between tea and poetry, prose, novels, calligraphy and painting, cultivate aesthetic taste, carry forward traditional culture, enhance cultural self-confidence and enhance humanities literacy.
