Li Zhimin (1925 ——1994), a law professor in Peking University, is a famous civil jurist and the first president of Peking University Yanyuan Painting and Calligraphy Association (predecessor of Peking University Painting and Calligraphy Association). In his early years, he studied calligraphy and painting at Wuchang Art College, and later specialized in calligraphy. China is a contemporary cursive master, a famous calligraphy theorist during the reform and opening up period, a director of China Calligraphers Association, a deputy director of the Art Committee of China Calligraphers Association, and the first vice chairman of Beijing Calligraphers Association. He is an expert in literature and history, and is good at true cursive script and artistic theory, especially crazy cursive script. He is a pioneer in theory and practice. It has the reputation of "Southern Forest and Northern Plum" (Lin Sanzhi and Li Zhimin), and is also called "the contemporary sage of grass" with Lin Sanzhi.
