Why Lujiazui?

According to the local records of Shanghai, the Huangpu River turned 90 degrees here, leaving a prominent alluvial beach. Looking from the west of Pujiang to the other side, this beach is like a giant Jinjiao beast sticking its head out here and opening its mouth to drink water. On this beach, it is called Lujiazui because both the former residence and Lu's ancestors were built here.

Lujiazui is located on the Huangpu River in Pudong, facing the Bund across the river, and is the leading financial center at home and abroad. Many landmark buildings, such as Oriental Pearl, World Financial Center, Jinmao Tower and Shanghai Tower, gather here.

Extended data:

1990, the State Council, China announced the development of Pudong and the establishment of the first national Lujiazui financial development zone in Lujiazui;

Foreign financial institutions engaged in RMB business must set up offices in Lujiazui Financial and Trade Zone. Therefore, at present, many foreign financial institutions have set up offices in Lujiazui, among which foreign banks engaged in RMB business include HSBC, Citibank, Standard Chartered Bank, DBS Bank and Bank of East Asia.

Lujiazui has the second world financial center in China (492m), the seventh Jinmao Tower (420.5m) and the tallest Shanghai Tower in China (632m). In particular, the night view here is not inferior to the cities in highly developed countries in Europe and America, and the film "007" embodies this point.
