Grandfather was a famous calligrapher in Guizhou during the Republic of China. Influenced and edified by his grandfather, he studied calligraphy inscriptions hard since he was a child. During my college years, I learned from famous calligraphers in Guizhou, such as Wang Ehua, Huang Jiyun, Yang Shuang and Bao Junyi. I have studied the Thousand-Character Works of Wisdom and Courage, Songs of Hundred Herbs and Hundred Rhymes, Preface to Wang Xizhi's Lanting Collection, Preface to Buddhist Scriptures, Preface to Holy Teaching, Qingxue Post, Seventeen Post, Post for the Funeral of Sickness, Yan Zhenqing Ma Su's Fairy Altar, Draft for the Sacrifice of Nephew and many pagodas.
Organized calligraphy competitions and pen meetings many times, and was keen on calligraphy exchange activities.
His works are collected by Jilin Provincial Library and other institutions.
