"Pattern" is a book compiled by Teacher Wu Jun in the course offered by APP. He also has a book called "Insights" that I am also reading, but I didn't know until I looked at the e-book shelf just now that this book " I have read 73% of "Insights", but I have no impression at all! This also fully shows how superficial my reading is. If I study for the sake of quantity, it is better not to study at all. Need to remember this in the future!
The so-called pattern is vision and mind. Those who achieve great things are those who take one step at a time and look at ten steps at a time. They are all people who focus on the long term and ignore immediate gains and losses. The bigger the pattern, the bigger the world.
How to improve the pattern? Teacher Wu Jun told me that the method of obtaining the big picture can be summarized in ten words, that is, position, direction, method, pace and rhythm. Anyone, regardless of their starting point, as long as they can recognize their position, find the right direction, do things in the right way, increase the speed of progress, and grasp the rhythm at the same time, in a few years they will see themselves in a much bigger world than today. , a self that makes oneself feel worthy of this life.
This book *** uses seven chapters (the pattern of life, the power of destiny, the rhythm of life, the insight of the wise, the growth of the mind, pessimism and optimism, and the law of the future) to guide us how to Improve the pattern. In the pattern of life, the author tells us that the first step to improve one's pattern is to recognize the power beyond one's ability. This power is what Chinese people often call "Heaven" and Westerners often call God. Respect the way of heaven, and more importantly, respect the way of humanity, which can also be said to be the morality in the heart. Only by being a good person can you have a big picture.
The power of fate: No matter how strong a person is, he cannot escape the arrangement of fate. Accepting fate is actually the attitude towards life that each of us should have. The so-called acceptance of fate is the belief that the world is uncertain and many things cannot be changed without personal strength. The most important thing for people is self-knowledge, knowing their own strengths, knowing the boundaries of their abilities, and maximizing their profits within these boundaries. This is a positive attitude towards life. As for whether the outcome is good or bad, you might as well take it in stride. Do your best and obey destiny.
The rhythm of life: We should control the rhythm of our life. It’s not that the busier you are, the better off you will be. In fact, when people are busy, it is easy to forget the purpose of busyness, and in the end, they get further and further away from the goal. Taking a step back from the hustle and bustle and thinking about the purpose can eliminate unnecessary needs and actions, reduce unnecessary troubles, and allow us to get closer to the goal faster. Among many goals, the ultimate goal is life itself.
Insights from wise men: Teacher Wu Jun believes that the reason why he grew and progressed relatively smoothly was because he benefited from the wise men around him. Some of these people are his teachers and elders, some are colleagues, friends, some are even his subordinates, and some people with whom he has no personal acquaintance. To me, being wise is getting the wisdom from the many teachers in the columns and from the many authors in the books. I will study their knowledge seriously with awe, strive to turn their wisdom into my own, and change my bad thinking and doing habits bit by bit in my actions. Over time, I will find that my knowledge, ability and even luck have improved to a higher level.
Mental growth: There are two points in this part that are very inspiring to me. One is the difference in magnitude of achievement. The amount of achievement depends on at least three factors: the speed of doing things or the number of things done. , the influence of each thing, and the success rate of doing things. The relationship between them is multiplicative rather than additive. The speed at which everyone does things will not increase much. We need to increase the magnitude, and the most important thing is to increase the success rate and influence. Concentrating on doing one thing well will achieve greater results than doing several things at the same time. Doing one big and influential thing is more important than doing several insignificant things. For me now, the most important thing is to focus on improving my cognitive level. This has been a big event for me in the past two years.
Another more enlightening piece of knowledge is the "three sides" of doing things well - baseline, ladder, and limit. To know yourself clearly is to know where the baseline and limit of your ability are, and the way to rise from the baseline to the limit - what is the ladder. If you can't find the upper and lower lines, you are acting recklessly and foolishly; if you can't find the third line, you will always be able to talk on paper.
Pessimism and Optimism: Why do some people become pessimists? One reason is that a pessimistic style softens the blow of tragedy. Another reason is fear of the future. In fact, our world is not that gloomy. Even if there are setbacks, they are temporary.
Actively moving toward success and enjoying the joy of success are the attitudes we should have in life. Luo Fat said that he is a rational optimist, and I want to be such a person.
Laws of the future: The future has three characteristics, namely asymmetry, complexity and uncertainty. The book lists eight laws summarized in Ito's "Explosive Force", including not relying too much on the authority of the past, pull is better than push, compass is better than map, embrace risk, rebellious spirit, generalist is better than specialist, resilience is better than strength, Emphasis on wholeness. I think all laws are based on a spirit of optimism, the belief that the future will be better than today. If we believe that the future will be better than today, and firmly believe that we live in a good place, all we have to do is to recognize the characteristics and laws of the future era, grasp some unchanging principles, use the correct methods, and do those things that can continue to make people happy. Obtain stackable progress for yourself, so that you can be invincible.
After reading this book, I am even more determined why I chose to re-study the "Bofan Rizhilu" course, because most of the ideas in this book can be found in "Bofan Rizhilu" I saw it, and it was explained more clearly because of the course. What I need most now is to sort out the complicated concepts in my mind and connect them for my use. So this is also the purpose of reading books such as "Pattern" and "Insight" recently. But now it seems that it is still too much for me to gain much from just reading a book. Because my knowledge is far from allowing me to understand many concepts and methods in the book, the author said these concepts and methods lightly, which may be a bible to me, and we are not on the same channel. If I want to achieve the same frequency, I still need to study systematically. "Bofan Rizhilu" and "Bofan Cognitive Methodology" should be able to help me improve. I hope that in the next six months, I can complete the course again and achieve cognitive upgrade.
