With the introduction of computers into the homes of ordinary people, "a scholar can know everything about the world without going out", the traditional way of writing has been greatly challenged. More and more people choose to write on the keyboard and forget about it. Instead of using a pen to write, the nation’s writing ability is on a downward trend. In order to reverse this decline, the state encourages everyone to pick up pen and ink, revitalize tradition, and standardize writing. As a frontline school, schools should actively respond to the country’s call and find ways to improve students’ writing skills. "Tall buildings rise from the ground", this is especially true for elementary schools! The hard pen is the main writing tool for primary school students. It is the responsibility of every teacher to teach them to use the hard pen well and write hard pen words well. How can we improve the hard-pen writing ability of primary school students? The author believes that we can start from the following aspects:
1. Teachers should pay attention to cultivating students' interest in hard-pen writing
Confucius once said: "Those who know well are not as good as those who are good at it. Those who enjoy it are worse than those who enjoy it. The ancients understood the importance of interest, but how can people today be ignorant. Writing Chinese characters with a hard pen is not as exciting and exciting as children's games. Instead, it makes people tired and boring, so we try to make it boring. It is necessary for students to become interested in hard-pen writing. Specifically, you can introduce our country's calligraphy tradition to students and understand our country's splendid calligraphy culture; take them to appreciate other people's calligraphy masterpieces and cultivate their artistic sentiments (such as: Lead students to visit calligraphy art works exhibitions); let them often participate in some competitive writing activities and enjoy the joy of successful writing (for example, when there are competitions, you can lead students to participate in calligraphy creation competitions at all levels and types; complete homework in normal times , when taking notes in class, you can conduct a competition of "who is the little calligrapher"); in addition, teachers can also set up hard-pen calligraphy interest groups in schools to attract students who love calligraphy art and let them interact with each other on this platform. Learn, communicate with each other, and grow together. Radiation affects people around you and makes more people interested in hard-pen writing.
Teachers should teach students to choose writing tools correctly.
The current phenomenon of students using writing tools indiscriminately is quite serious! For example, when they should use copybooks, they should use small print books; when they should use pens, they should use pencils, ballpoint pens, and gel pens. In order to avoid this phenomenon, we can use it according to the students' needs. According to their age characteristics, choose writing tools that are suitable for them. First, the choice of pen: HB pencils or mechanical pencils with moderate hardness and softness should be used from preschool to the second grade of elementary school; those above grade 3 should use pens with a moderate thickness and that do not scratch paper. When writing with pens, avoid using all kinds of ballpoint pens and gel pens. The second is the choice of paper: students below the third grade should use words with "Tian Zi Ge", "Mi Zi Ge", "Hui Gong Ge" and "Nine Gong Ge" when writing Chinese characters. "Writing on paper, this kind of paper is helpful for beginners to find reference points and grasp the frame structure of Chinese characters; those in third grade and above can write on paper with horizontal lines.
3. Teachers should make full use of the school's facilities Writing classes
In recent years, many schools have offered special calligraphy courses - "writing". This is the best way for schools to cater to the country's revitalization of traditional Chinese culture and promote the quintessence of the Chinese nation. Teachers of this class must be fully aware of the responsibilities they bear, and must do everything possible to provide a good "writing" class with quality and quantity. Don't let it go to self-study or switch to other classes just because the subject is not included in the exam or assessment. The creation of the "writing" class gives students the opportunity to learn calligraphy in a specialized and systematic manner. It is different from the teacher's simple and rough explanations and demonstrations when teaching literacy. It includes both calligraphy theory and calligraphy practice. Whether it can be used effectively will be directly related to children's writing level.
4. Teachers should follow the principle of progression when teaching hard-pen writing. From one stone ear, there are two stones, from there three stones, from four stones to tens of thousands of stones. The same goes for learning to write with a hard pen. "That is: let students write basic strokes first, then let students write individual Chinese characters well, and finally let students learn to plan the layout of the text. Only by learning step by step in this way can we finally write hard-pen calligraphy well and practice hard-pen calligraphy.
5. Teachers should use regular script as the basis when teaching hard-pen writing
Chinese characters can be divided into five types according to their writing styles: seal script, official script, cursive script, running script, and regular script. There are various calligraphy styles, and regular script is the main calligraphy style. Kai, that is, model, is the standard font. It pays attention to the use of pen, clear strokes and square structure. The strokes and radicals of the characters are evenly distributed, the center of gravity is stable, the proportions are appropriate, and the shape of the characters is correct and in compliance with the standards. In view of the above reasons, many calligraphers advocate learning regular script as the first step in learning other calligraphy. The current Chinese language teaching syllabus for nine-year compulsory education in primary schools also regards learning regular script as a prerequisite for learning other calligraphy styles. [1] Practice has proven that only through systematic regular script practice can students effectively understand the strokes and structural characteristics of Chinese characters, effectively master the combination rules of Chinese characters, and lay the foundation for learning to write other calligraphy styles. Therefore, when teaching hard-pen writing, regular script should be the basis!
6. Teachers should make students insist on practicing hard-pen writing
"Three days without reading will make a difference, and three days without writing will make a difference." To improve the ability of hard-pen writing, students must practice diligently. Practice more. Many students are afraid of hardship and tiredness. They like to "fish for three days and dry the net for two days" and write enthusiastically for three minutes. As everyone knows: "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step" and "the fragrance of plum blossoms comes from the bitter cold". Only persistent and diligent practice can improve the level of hard-pen writing. The ancients: "Wang Mian studied painting" and "Wang Xizhi practiced calligraphy" are two examples that are enough to illustrate the above principle!
7. Teachers should help students develop good writing habits
Nationally famous special teacher Yu Yongzheng once said: "When we are young, people are the masters of habits; when they grow up, people are the masters of habits." They are slaves to habits.”[2] Doesn’t this statement clearly indicate that childhood is the best time to cultivate students’ good habits? Therefore, it would be wise to seize this opportunity to help students develop good writing habits! We can put forward clear writing requirements to students in terms of the stroke names of Chinese characters, the order of writing strokes, and the structure of frames, etc., and strive to be unyielding and obey all requests.
8. Teachers should pay attention to the exemplary role of their own hard-pen writing
Primary school students have a strong teacher-oriented nature and like to imitate their teachers in many aspects. We can make full use of this feature and play the role of teacher as a role model in all occasions where Chinese character writing can be shown in front of students, such as writing on the blackboard in class, marking homework, running blackboard newspapers, filling out quality report books, etc., allowing them to imitate as much as they like. Only in this way can students have the effect of "sneaking into the night with the wind, moisturizing things silently". This requires us to: "Write well and write well." As the saying goes: "The one who is close to the vermilion is red, and the one who is close to the ink is black."
In short, there are many ways to improve the hard-pen writing ability of primary school students. Not only that!
