Wen Yiduo's Character Image

Mr. Wen Yiduo is a talented poet and a revolutionary with the spirit of sacrificing his life for righteousness. He is gentle, intelligent and wise. As a democracy fighter, Mr. Wen Yiduo shouted to the people of the whole country to awaken them, oppose dictatorship and strive for democracy. He is a soldier who fights for the interests of the people.

19 19, Wen Yiduo, together with the young people of that era, was baptized by the May 4th Movement. He was elected as a member of "Tsinghua Student Delegation", the school's student leading body, and was responsible for paperwork. He participated in drafting many documents, including Tsinghua's earliest record in this movement-"Minutes of the Tsinghua Student Delegation Meeting".

In July this year, as a student representative of Tsinghua, he went to Shanghai to attend the inaugural meeting of the National Student Union. During the meeting, I listened to Dr. Sun Yat-sen's speech. The May 4th Movement is also an ideological emancipation movement advocating "democracy and science". At this time, Wen Yiduo was influenced by Cai Yuanpei's view that "aesthetic education replaces religion" and thought that cultural transformation could improve people's quality.

To this end, he and Liang Sicheng, the eldest son of Liang Qichao, jointly launched the group "Meisisi" to study figurative art, with the aim of improving society through "the artistry of life". His new poetry creation also started from this time. His first new collection of poems, Red Candle, was written at this time.

Wen Yiduo stayed at home and studied knowledge hungrily during the day. I come back from my home school every night and read Chinese books with my father. I often compare the historical knowledge of home schooling with Hanshu. Wen Yiduo's cleverness made his father very happy. Since then, his father has told him stories about celebrities in Hanshu every night, which has influenced him from an early age by excellent ancient culture.

Wen Yiduo was gentle when he was a child and rarely fought with other children. When other children are naughty outside, he often hides to read or draw by himself. He has a strong interest in painting since he was a child and is good at copying. His aunts asked him to draw any flowers they wanted to embroider, even cut a pillow flower shoe, and they all looked for him, which won the appreciation of their aunts.

When he is reading, he is often absorbed and forgets everything around him. Once, Wen Yiduo was reading outside the house, and a big centipede climbed on his shoes. He didn't realize it at all When the family saw that the centipede had bitten his foot, they rushed to push him down and trampled the centipede to death.

At this time, Wen Yiduo "woke up" from the book. But when others are worried about what he just saw. He said casually, "What's the fuss about a bug?" Then he stood up and went back to his room to study.

Wen Yiduo is immersed in the ocean of knowledge all day, lingering. Seeing his enthusiasm for reading, his family called him a bookworm. Because of hard study and hard practice, Wen Yiduo was able to write and draw well when he was eleven or twelve years old. Shows his intelligence.
