Hanshan Temple, located in gusu district, Suzhou, was founded in the period of Liang Xiao and Tian Jian in the Southern Dynasties (502 ~ 5 19), formerly known as "Miaoli Pingta". In the stele gallery of Hanshan Temple, there is a stone tablet engraved with a night-mooring near maple bridge, a famous poem by Zhang Ji, a great poet in the Tang Dynasty. This poem tablet written by Yu Yue, a famous scholar in the late Qing Dynasty, has become a must of Hanshan Temple. Hanshan Temple stele is about 3.5m high and 1 m wide.
Since the publication of a night-mooring near maple bridge, there have been many writers who carved tablets for Hanshan Temple. According to Records of Hanshan Temple, the first a night-mooring near maple bridge was written by Wang Si in Song Dynasty. Because of repeated wars and defeats, this monument has been burned down many times. When Hanshan Temple was rebuilt in the Ming Dynasty, the painter Wen Zhiming rewrote the poem "a night-mooring near maple bridge" for Hanshan Temple and carved it on a stone, which is the second poem monument of "a night-mooring near maple bridge".
Since then, Hanshan Temple has suffered several fires, and Wen Zhiming's handwritten poems are scattered among weeds and rubble. The remains of Ming calligraphy embedded in the wall of Hanshan Temple's stele gallery only have figures such as "Frost, Weeping, Ancient and Su". In A.D. 1906 (thirty-two years of Guangxu in the late Qing Dynasty), when Governor Chen of Jiangsu rebuilt Hanshan Temple, he was impressed by the vicissitudes here and the ancient monument no longer existed, so he asked Yu Yue to write the third monument of a night-mooring near maple bridge in calligraphy.
The fourth tablet of a night-mooring near maple bridge in Hanshan Temple was written by a calligrapher with the same name and surname as Zhang Ji in Tang Dynasty. According to Zheng Laoren, an expert in literature and history, this modern painter wrote the ancient poem a night-mooring near maple bridge at the invitation of a famous painter.
There are postscript clouds after the poem; "Hanshan Temple scenic spot in rewelding, with frequent exchanges between Wumen, ends a tour here. Mr Fan Hu, like the poets who wrote a night-mooring near maple bridge in the Tang Dynasty, asked him to write this poem. In December of the thirty-sixth year of the Republic of China, Zhangzhou Zhang Ji. "
Modern Zhang Jishu's ancient poems were carved by the famous stone carver Huang Huaijue and stood in Hanshan Temple, which was once a much-told story. It's a pity that he died the day after he finished writing Night Sleeping near Fengqiao. The poem tablet he wrote is still in Hanshan Temple.

Experience of Hanshan Temple Poetry Monument during the Anti-Japanese War
Hanshan Temple is located on the bank of Qili Ancient Canal outside Xilongmen, the ancient city of Suzhou. Before the Tang Dynasty, Hanshan Temple was an unknown small temple. Hanshan Temple has been famous since the poet Zhang Ji's a night-mooring near maple bridge. During War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, Japanese invaders plundered China's cultural relics, especially the famous a night-mooring near maple bridge poem tablet.
At that time, Japan attempted to transport the stone tablet to Japan in the name of hosting the East Asia Construction Expo. After learning this news, Master Jing Ru, the abbot of Hanshan Temple, invited Qian Rongchu, a stone carving master, to carve the stone tablet into its original shape, but the imitation of the stone tablet was discovered and intercepted by traitors. On the day before the launch of "Operation Tianyi", Shigen Matsui, commander of the Central China Army of the Japanese invaders, was preparing to skillfully take a poem tablet, and a murder case occurred.
1on the morning of March 20th, 939, a group of pilgrims who entered Chenxiang were walking in twos and threes on their way to Hanshan Temple. Just then, someone found a man lying on the ground in front of him. A brave old man called two pilgrims and turned him over together. I saw this man with blood all over his face, and it was obvious that he had been dead for a long time. Soon, the identity was confirmed, and it turned out to be Qian Rongchu.
Just as there was a lot of talk in the streets, Ishigen Matsui also heard the news and immediately ordered the Japanese gendarmerie to transport the body of the deceased back quickly and let the forensic doctor conduct an autopsy on the deceased. The forensic doctor found a note in the coat pocket of the deceased and asked the gendarmerie to give it to Matsui Shigen. Ishigen Matsui opened the note, and the bloody words on it were impressive: "Those who carve and insult the monument will die! I forgot my ancestral teachings, and I (deserved it) was a sudden misfortune! "
This is obviously a curse. Look at the meaning of the note No matter who it is, no matter what the reason, as long as you dare to write poetry, it will not end well. Isn't it a good example that Qian Rongchu died suddenly because he privately carved the poem "Sleeping at Night" near Fengqiao? Thought of here, matsui shigen surprised out in a cold sweat.
Matsui Shigen immediately put down the complicated military affairs, plunged into the pile of old newspapers, and looked up the historical records of a night-mooring near maple bridge Poetry Monument. According to unofficial history's records, there is a legend about the curse of stone tablets, which was actually issued by Tang Wuzong, the emperor of Tang Dynasty in China. According to legend, imperial academy, a scholar in the Northern Song Dynasty, a gifted scholar in the Ming Dynasty and Yu Yue, Zeng Guofan's favorite pupil in the Qing Dynasty, all died because of this poem.
It seems that this monument has really been branded with a curse for thousands of years. Only suitable for emperors to play with and own. How do ordinary people enjoy the honor of the emperor? No wonder they were cursed and died a natural death. Although the Japanese emperor was once the Emperor of Heaven, he was a foreign king. What should I do if it's hard to get out of Tang Wuzong's spell?
The more he thinks about it, the more afraid he becomes. He is afraid that the act of stealing poetry tablets will "hinder the owner and hinder himself"; He gave up the idea of plundering the monument and telegraphed the truth he "realized" to Emperor Hirohito. After repeated weighing, the emperor was allowed to go to war. So, Matsui Ishigen gave up the plan completely.
In fact, Qian Rongchu was not dead at that time. The deceased who died suddenly outside Hanshan Temple was not Qian Rongchu, but another person who looked like Qian Rongchu. His name is Qian. Qian and Qian Rongchu had an awkward friendship and were patriots.
After learning that Master Jingru and Qian Rongchu's plan failed, Qian Fei Da urged Qian Rongchu to disguise himself and take refuge in other places anonymously. He himself gave his life for justice, and lured Matsui Shigen to "study" the historical record of a night-sleeping poem tablet near Fengqiao with a "blood book" to stop the plot of Japanese chiefs to plunder the poem tablet.
It is said that when Qian told Qian Rongchu his "coup", Qian Rongchu could not bear to die under an alias. Qian lied that he had lung disease and was dying. He said that it is worthwhile to protect the monument with a dying sick body! Qian Rongchu was deeply moved by Qian's loyalty and left him with tears.
