Yushu Prefecture Vocational and Technical school profile: Yushu Prefecture Vocational and Technical School (Yutao Prefecture Comprehensive School for Nationalities), formerly Yushu Prefecture Normal School for Nationalities, was founded in 1957. It was formed in 22 by the merger and reorganization of five schools, namely Yuanzhou Normal School for Nationalities, Guizhou National Health School, Guizhou Vocational and Technical School, Yushu College of Qinghai People's University and Yushu Radio and TV University. It is a vocational education, higher education, adult education and Yushu Radio and TV University.
The school is located in Saimatan, Zhaxike, the western suburb of Jiegu Town, where Yushu Prefecture government is located. The reconstruction of Yushu after the disaster was aided by the Central Military Commission and undertaken by Lanzhou Military Region. The school covers a total area of 23.57 mu, with a total construction area of 74,257 m and a total investment of 45 million. It is built according to the scale of 4, students and 8 teaching classes. Equipped with modern hardware facilities such as teaching, office, training and practice that are suitable for infrastructure construction.
