Zhang Daqian (1899-1983), a native of Neijiang, Sichuan, was born on May 10, 1899 (the first day of the fourth lunar month) in the suburbs of Neijiang County, Sichuan Province A family from a scholarly family in Xiangbizuiyantangwan, Anliangli.
