Li Shutong (188010123 October-194210/0/3) is a famous musician, art educator, calligrapher and drama activist. After tonsure, he became a monk, and his dharma name was changed. He was named Hongyi, and later he was named Master Hongyi.
Master Hongyi's contribution to Buddhism is mainly reflected in his research and promotion of Legalism. In order to revitalize the law, Master Hongyi did not fear difficulties, studied deeply, devoted himself to discipline, wrote books and put them into practice. He is a highly respected master of legalism in modern Buddhism and a famous Buddhist monk at home and abroad.
