learn from others'experience

In 1930s, he studied in the literature department of Wuxi Academy, a famous scholar and calligraphy master Zhou Gucheng. In his early years, he studied calligraphy with Qian Han, a famous Zhejiang scholar, and later with Wang Quchang, a famous Cao Zhang.

calligraphy

He has been in the pool for decades, and his calligraphy has been promoted to the Tang Dynasty, forming his own family. The geometry of Wang Youjun's Preface to Lanting Collection is confusing. He has never been vain, engaged in calligraphy research for forty years, and constantly explored a new field of calligraphy research-pen calligraphy.

He was inspired by the ancients writing with branches and sticks. After a long period of study and practice, he mastered the hard pen and created a pen character with strong charm of brush calligraphy. This is the result of his hard work day and night, from small to large, regardless of cold and heat. He used an unprocessed pen, borrowed from brush calligraphy, and skillfully pressed his feet with a side pen, giving full play to the special function of the pen. It is particularly valuable to inherit the spirit of China's traditional calligraphy art with a modern writing tool-pen. 1985 won the first prize of China Pen Calligraphy Competition.

Publish copybooks

He is a calligrapher who published Pen Copybook for calligraphy earlier in China, and has published Pen Copybook for calligraphy and other works that are deeply loved by readers, such as Lei Feng's Diary Pen Copy and Pupils' Pen Copy. 1965, Lin Sichun's pen calligraphy was praised and recommended by Comrade Chen Pixian. In July this year, his "Farmer's Pen Copy" and "Excerpts from Lei Feng's Diary" were published by Shanghai Education Publishing House. After that, his works spread like wildfire. Hong Kong's "Book Score" magazine once published his pen calligraphy works as an exception, which attracted the attention of all parties. In 1980s, the copybooks "Introduction to Pen Calligraphy" and "Lin Sichun Pen Monument" were published successively.

Calligraphy education

In the 1980s, although he was close to ancient times, he was "the best at educating young people with calligraphy" (in Zhou Gucheng) and said that he would "popularize pen calligraphy like Mandarin". To this end, in addition to teaching calligraphy in eight classes of Shanghai Bank School, he also gave lectures and counseling in cultural centers and children's palaces in various districts, and countless people taught him. Under his careful guidance, some students won the National Calligraphy Award.

Calligraphy viewpoint

Mr Lin Sichun believes that perseverance is the only way to learn calligraphy well. He said: "The word will not work for a hundred days, and one day it will be empty." He insisted on posting every day before his death, and all the famous posts he copied could be confused. "That's great! God is amazing! " This is Mr. Wang Quchang's appreciation of his copy.
